Nestled on the ocean front Aquario is situated about a 7 minute walk from the Abraa Centre and being the only hostel a footstep away from some of the most beautiful beaches Ilha Grande has to offer. Aquario offers a little of everything to make your stay as relaxing or exciting as you desire.

Suites:

Our suites are double rooms and all have breathtaking views of the sea, are modern and comfortable with en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan or air conditioning air. Breakfast included in the price.

Dormitory

We also have a dorm with caters up to 6 people with share bathroom facilities.

Aquario Bar
Every thusday night we have our famous BBq party with live bands or djs playing for us until the sun rise , our best night with amazing fish, beef and fun
Or you can just sit in one off our 8 homocks arround the bar area have a cold caipirinha and wach the sunset with some chill music.

we have 3 surfboards to rent and all the swell imformation everyday abaut the waves on the 4 spots that we have on the island

we have a partnership with the best diving school on the island and the pick you up straight at your door in the morning

we offer 5 kayaks for you to enjoy and relax arround the 7 beaches that sorround the hostel

Boat trips
we have boat trips catered for backpackers with focus on the remot part off the island avoiding the big crowds and take you to the most relaxing and paradise beaches that island has to offer as blue lagoon, green lagoon, lopes mendes, aventureiro and others
At night when the weather helps and the crowd as well we organise amazing boat partys with bbq at night in a paradise beach just for us

Directions

Take the bus from Rio main bus station to Angra Dos Reis. From Angra bus station, get a taxi to the pier (SANTA LUZIA OR LAPA) and get the boat to Ilha Grande.
The Ferry leaves monday to friday 3.30 pm from Angra dos Reis; Saturday, Sunday and holiday the ferry leaves 01:30 pm but there are also smaller boats which leave earlier at about 1.30pm.
In Busstation have an agency you can have more information about the boats leaves from Angra to Island.
Every days we have provide a transfer from Rio de janeiro and Paraty straight to the hostel , including van and boat. we pick you up in whatever hostel or hotel in Rio between 10:00 am to 11:30 am , we take about 3h to get on the island depending on trafic, but we are at least 2 h faster then the bus and ferry .
