We are operating since 1995. More than 16 years of enriching experience welcoming travelers from every corner of the world -regardless of sexual orientation, race, nationality, etc.- and an outstanding tradition of providing them with a genuine friendly hospitality, accompanied with an excellent location and an affordable price has keeping us rendering hospitality for so many years, and always open to improve our service to make our guests to feel welcome with us -like at a friend's place.

We are just 50 meters from 'Astoria' metro station (red line M2) in the center of the city. Our hostel, besides being small and cozy, has an open minded English speaking staff and an excellent location -near the main tourist attractions! We are a short walking distance from the National Museum, the Synagogue, the Central Hall Market -next to the Danube and Vaci utca- the Cathedral and -a bit further- the Royal Palace and other places of tourist interest. And if you are interested in the thermal baths, we are approximately 5-10 minutes walking distance from two of the most famous thermal baths of Budapest: Rudas and Gellert thermal baths, across the Elisabeth and Liberty bridges -on the Buda side.

Around the hostel we have plenty of supermarkets, bakeries, pizzerias and restaurants -with the most varied menus and prices, as well as shopping centers, cinemas, theaters and lots of places of night entertainment.

Our hostel provides large, bright rooms with double bed, twin beds, triples and quads as well as dorms in two large apartments. We offer some of the double bed rooms with ensuite at a separated apartment a few minutes walk from the main building at Károly Körút 10. Taxes and bedsheets are included in the price and every bed has an attached security locker. There is a 24-hour running hot showers.

The hostel has a free wi-fi internet access, a kitchen available to all guests, free luggage storage and free informational material. There is no curfew or lock-out time and some of our staff speak English and other languages as well.

NOTES:
1 -) Please note that to ensure our other guests and residents a relaxed atmosphere, it is necessary to observe quietness after 10 pm.

2 -) In the case of dorms, if you wish to book an entire room, you must click on 'private', otherwise the booking system will allocate you only beds.

3 -) If you plan to arrive after midnight, it will be appreciated if you can confirm us via email or text message your arrival time -as we do not have a 24-hour reception office- in order to wait for your arrival. Thanks!

Directions

From the main railway station Keleti p.u.:
Take the red metro line (M2) -outside the railway station, to the left- in direction to Déli p.u. and get off at the 2nd stop 'Astoria'. Take the further exit to the right and find Károly Körút No. 10


From Déli p.u. railway station:
Take the red metro line (M2) and get off at 'Astoria'. Then proceed as indicated above.

From Nyugati p.u. railway station:
Take the blue metro line (M3) in direction to 'Köbánya-Kispest' and get off at 'Deák F. tér'. Then take the left exit to the 'Károly Körút' and walk along it down to the number 10.

From the International Bus Station 'Népliget':
Take the blue metro line (M3) in direction to 'Újpest-Központ' and get off at 'Kálvin tér'. Then take the exit to the 'Múzeum Körút' and walk along it up to Astoria metro station. After Astoria the 'Múzeum körút' changes name to 'Károly körút'. Find the number 10.

From the Ferihegy Airport:
By taxi: This is the best way if you are 2, 3 or 4 persons. (aprox. 17 euros to the hostel, plus a customary 10% tip. Check with the driver the aprox. cost before you board the taxi!)

By public transportation: you need to buy 2 tickets (one for the bus and one for the metro) from the ticket's machine at the bus stop outside the exit. Take the bus up to the last stop (Köbánya-Kispest) -which is also the starting station of the blue metro line (M3). Then punch the 2nd ticket before boarding the metro. Get off at 'Kálvin tér' and take the exit to the 'Múzeum körút', walk along it up to 'Astoria' metro station. From Astoria the Múzeum körút(avenue) changes name to Károly körút. Find the number 10.

By Airport Minibus: They have a desk right outside the exit from the customs. The fee is aprox. 10 euros per passanger up to the hostel.
