We are 50 meters from 'ASTORIA' metro station (red line M2), and a short walking distance from the National Museum (150 meters), the Synagogue (70 meters), the Central Hall Market (500 meters), and the Danube river with the imposing Elisabeth bridge (300 meters), and two of the most important thermal baths of Budapest: Rudas (500 meters) and Gellert (800 meters), on the Buda side, across Elisabeth bridge.
Near the hostel there are several restaurants where you can eat for 3 to 5 euros traditional Hungrian lunch, 24-hour supermarkets (Spaar, Match, Roni, Tesco, etc), bakeries, pizzerias, as well as shopping centers, cinemas, theaters, discos, pubs, etc. We are in the epicenter of the nightlife, and on top of it we offer our guests a FREE walking tour for 3 hours in English and Spanish every day of the week.
Our rooms are bright, spacious, colorful, and some of them are in a separated apartment a couple of minutes walk from the main building.
We have a common room with a balcony having an amazing view of Kï¿½roly Kï¿½rï¿½t -one of the most important boulevards in the heart of Budapest. We have also free wi-fi internet access in every room and common areas of the hostel, a furnished kitchen for self-catering and 24-hour free self-service coffee and/or tea all the time, free luggage storage and lockers. We do not have any curfew or lock-out time, but quietness is appreciated after 10 pm to guarantee everyone a good rest.
In the case of arrivals after midnight or delayed arrivals for more than 2 hours from the arrival time given during the booking, it is highly recommended to send us a confirmation (by email, phone or text message) regarding the arrival time, as we are an small hostel with limited number of beds, in order to hold on the reserved beds/rooms. Not making this warning regarding delayed/late arrivals, the beds/rooms might not be any more available after 2 hours from the expected arrival time.
From Dï¿½li p.u. railway station:
Take the red metro line (M2) and get off at 'Astoria'. Then proceed as indicated above.
From Nyugati p.u. railway station:
Take the blue metro line (M3) in direction to 'Kï¿½bï¿½nya-Kispest' and get off at 'Deï¿½k F. tï¿½r'. Then take the left exit to the 'Kï¿½roly Kï¿½rï¿½t' and walk along it down to the number 10.
From the International Bus Station 'Nï¿½pliget':
Take the blue metro line (M3) in direction to 'ï¿½jpest-Kï¿½zpont' and get off at 'Kï¿½lvin tï¿½r'. Then take the exit to the 'Mï¿½zeum Kï¿½rï¿½t' and walk along it up to Astoria metro station. After Astoria the 'Mï¿½zeum kï¿½rï¿½t' changes name to 'Kï¿½roly kï¿½rï¿½t'. Find the number 10.
From the Ferihegy Airport:
By taxi: This is the best way if you are 2, 3 or 4 persons. (aprox. 17 euros to the hostel, plus a customary 10% tip. Check with the driver the aprox. cost before you board the taxi!)
By public transportation: you need to buy 2 tickets (one for the bus and one for the metro) from the ticket's machine at the bus stop outside the exit. Take the bus up to the last stop (Kï¿½bï¿½nya-Kispest) -which is also the starting station of the blue metro line (M3). Then punch the 2nd ticket before boarding the metro. Get off at 'Kï¿½lvin tï¿½r' and take the exit to the 'Mï¿½zeum kï¿½rï¿½t', walk along it up to 'Astoria' metro station. From Astoria the Mï¿½zeum kï¿½rï¿½t(avenue) changes name to Kï¿½roly kï¿½rï¿½t. Find the number 10.
By Airport Minibus: They have a desk right outside the exit from the customs. The fee is aprox. 10 euros per passanger up to the hostel.
