This beautiful hostel, built in the 1930s, was originally a Coast Guard station.

Hostelling International Truro is the furthest HI hostel out on the 'arm' of the Cape. Located in the Cape Cod National Seashore, the hostel is just a two-minute walk from the beach. Large picture windows provide a breathtaking view from the spacious kitchen and dining area.

The hostel provides quick access to fresh water ponds, bike paths, cranberry bogs, and nature trails throughout the Cape Cod National Seashore.

Just 10 miles down the road, travellers can explore the great town of Provincetown--a mecca for artists where there are numerous art galleries and craft shops.

If you are real hard to impress you can go whale watching with the best fleets in the world (discounts available to hostel guests) or just take a walk on the trails through the dunes and marshes.

Check in is between 5 and 10 pm. Please contact hostel directly for an earlier or later check in time.

Each guest must show a government issued photo ID to check-in. Guests under 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Hostelling International is a non-profit membership based organization, promoting peace through hostelling since 1909. Non-members will be asked to pay a $3 non-membership fee per night upon check-in.

Directions

Directions by Car:
Take the Truro Center/Pamet Roads exit off U.S. Hwy. 6. Follow signs to North Pamet Road and continue to its end 1 1/2 miles east. The Hostel is on right.

Directions by Bus:
Bonanza bus from Boston to Hyannis, transfer there to the Plymouth-Brockton line. The bus stop in Truro Center is at Post Office and Jam's Store.

Another option is to take a ferry from Boston or Plymouth to Provincetown and then take a bus from there to Truro Center.

Taxi service from Provincetown (or from Truro Center since the taxi has to come from Provincetown) costs about $15
