We provide dorms (mixed and single sex) and private rooms, AND NOW OUR NEW PRIVATE ROOMS WITH EN SUITE BATH for up to 4 people. All en suite rooms are set up for double (1 double bed) as well as twin (separate beds) occupancy !

ALSO spacious comfortable common rooms with relaxing sofas and flat screen t.v with DVD's and games, and a fully equipped kitchen with a HUGE courtyard, BBQ area and SWIMMING POOL, provide a great place to chill in N'awlins before heading out for a FUN night. The atmosphere is second to none.

The hostel is Internationally owned and European managed with a casual atmosphere and located at the corner of 3200 Canal St. and South Lopez St., in the Mid-City area of New Orleans.

India House has NO curfew or lock-out period. Kitchen, common rooms and all facilities are available 24hrs a day. In addition we are walking distance to local pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and all amenities a traveler would need. Or just enjoy a relaxing time in our rear courtyard sipping a cold beer with fellow travelers from around the globe. New Olreans Seafood and Zydeco Festival June 11th - 13th

This fest takes place in the French Quarter and is FREE !
Great food and music on stages set up all through out the Quarter !

July 4th is a spectacle in New Orleans with a HUGE party and fireworks over the river !
India House will host a party and will have a complementary meal for ALL our guest (and you better believe it's going to be good !!)

The Satchmo Summer Fest is on August 5th though Aug 8th.

Directions

From the airport you can take the airport shuttle ($10 per person, one way), or a taxi ($24 flat rate for one or two people).

If you are driving, directions to St. Vincent's (1507 Magazine Street) from the I-10 interstate from either east or west are:
1. Exit at Business 90 Westbank
2. Take Carondelet/St. Charles Ave exit and go straight
3. Turn right at Magazine Street
4. St. Vincent's is on the right hand side of Magazine Street and the corner of Race Street.

Catch the Magazine Street bus from Canal Street and get off at Race Street, or catch the St. Charles Ave street car and get off at Felicity Street (near Walgreens) and walk the four blocks across to Magazine Street and St. Vincents.
