1291 Bed & Breakfast, your home away from home.

A young, highly professional and motivated team greets you at 1291 Bed & Breakfast.

We are located on 55th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, right in the heart of Manhattan. Times Square and Central Park are in walking distance as well as many great restaurants, bars and shopping possibilities.

Every room gets a cellphone during their stay. With it, you can make nationwide calls and receive international calls FOR FREE. You receive the number two days before your arrival.

Room Descriptions:

Shared Double: room with 1 bunk bed (2 single beds), shared bathroom is in the hallway.

Private Double: room with a queen size bed, radio, sink and a closet with shared bathroom on the floor.

Private Suite: room with a queen size bed, a double pull-out couch, TV, radio, private bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. (Breakfast is not included)

Our suites, studios and duplex apartments are located a short distance away from the main building, on 55th Street between 8th Avenue and Broadway.

Air Conditioning is available during the summer months. (June 15th to Oct 20th).

We offer a 24 hour self service breakfast, which includes: cereals, toast, peanut butter, jelly, coffee and tee. (Nor for apartments).

We provide for all our guests: Lounge with a big screen TV, relaxing backyard, kitchen facility equipped with refrigerator, microwave and utensils to cook. Guests may use our laundry facility (in the evening).

There is easy access to public transportation. The bus- and subway station are just 5 minutes away. There are also many supermarkets, restaurants, bars in this area as well as the famous Modern Art Museum (MOMA).

Our prices include all taxes and charges and bed linen and towels.
There is a $20 key deposit for each key taken out and returned by check out.

Payment can only be made either in cash or in traveler's checks.
5% surcharge for Credit Card payments added.

In case of a no show or a cancellation less than 24h in advance, a total of one night will be charged.

From Newark:

From La Guardia:
Take the bus *M60* to 125th Street (Manhattan!) - take *1* train to Columbus Circle (59th Street) - take *Exit 57th Street* - walk downtown on 8th Ave to 55th Street, make a right - our office is halfway up the block on the right.

Take the bus *Q33* to either *74th Street/Broadway* or *82nd Street-Jackson Heights* and change to the *E* train. Get off at *7th Avenue* (53rd Street) and walk
