Whether you relax on the back porch overlooking the gardens and fish pond or stroll the expansive Central Park located across the street, you experience a bit of the country in the center of the largest collection of Victorian homes in the USA.

Central Park Bed & Breakfast is located a few blocks from downtown Louisville and the Ohio River waterfront to the north and neighbors to the University of Louisville campus, the famous Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Fair and Exposition center to the south.

Accommodations

The Central Park Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of historic Old Louisville. From the moment you enter this historic home it surrounds you with the ambiance of fine period furnishings and the craftsmanship that created it in 1884. Many of the original fittings remain such as the magnificent stained glass windows, oak archways, twelve foot oak doors hung with hammered brass hardware, inlaid tile floor, Italian tile fireplaces and hand carved oak mantles.

Rooms/Suites

Three second floor queen bedded rooms are available all with private bathrooms, work desk, private telephones, high speed internet, cable tv/vcr, sitting area with gas fireplaces.

The third floor has three king bedded rooms/suites.

The Rose Garden Suite has private bath with a tub/shower combination, nicely furnished bedroom and a separate sitting room with comfortable chairs, work desk with private telphone, high speed internet connection, cable tv/vcr, hospitality refrigerator, skylights and a view of the inns gardens below.

The Central Park room is a large room with all the above amenities plus a fireplace, a large bathroom with a two person whirlpool, separate shower and fainting couch, all with a view of Louisville's Central Park.

The St. James Room is a very large luxurious room with a skylight with the same amenities plus a fireplace in both the bedroom and the huge room size bath with a two-person heart-shaped whirlpool tub.

Amenities

Central Park Bed & Breakfast provides a variety of amenities for the both the business and leisure traveler.

All rooms are furnished with a nice assortment of personal amenities, hair dryers, iron and ironing boards.

High speed internet connections are provided as well as private telephones, work desk. Business services i.e.; document copying, faxing, scanning, and computer use are available.

Early and late check-in times are available with advanced notice. Early breakfast times can also be coordinated in order for you to maintain your busy schedule while visiting Louisville.

Services Offered

Complimentary snacks and beverages are available each afternoon from 4-6 p.m. A full fireside breakfast is served each morning in the formal dining room.

Flowers, candies and other special treats can be ordered by contacting the innkeepers.

Dinner and event reservations will gladly be arranged upon request.

Policies & Restrictions

In order to maintain the highest level of guest comfort and relaxation we regret we are unable to accommodate children or pets.

Smoking is not permitted within the inn but we do accommodate smokers on the front and rear porches as well as on the grounds.

Directions

From I-65 exit on St. Catherine Street, travel west to Third Street. Turn left on Third to Mangolia Street turning right one block to Fourth Street. Turn right for 1/2 block......inn is on the right side of street at 1353 South Fourth Street. Parking available in front of the inn.

Discounts Offered

Midweek discounts are offered except during Holidays, Conventions, and Special Events.

Business and Corporate rates are available to the single traveler while visiting the area on business.

10% discounts availble to AAA and AARP members. Valid membership number required and presentation of card at check-in.
