We are the only Independent Backpackers Hostel in Oxford with its own fully licensed, on site Bar, FREE wifi and FREE breakfast! Ideally located - It really is just a 3 minute walk to both the bus and train stationl!

Because Oxford Backpackers is located right in the centre, we are next to all the bars, clubs and restaurants in Oxford. Being so close to everything means that you are within easy walking distance to all of Oxford\'s amazing architecture, world famous universities, Harry Potter film locations!, canals, theatres, and other entertainment.

Looking to stay longer? We can help you find jobs around Oxford with connections with local recruitment agencies. We often have jobs right here in the hostel too so just ask us in reception or look on our website. And if you do feel tempted to stay longer, ask about our great weekly rates. But when that sad moment comes when you have to check out, you still have your free breakfast provided to say au revoir!

Oxford is well serviced by train and coach from London and is a great location to base yourself to see the Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, and Bicester Village Shopping Centre. The Oxford Tube bus company leaves London every 12 minutes and costs £12 to £15 return, Megabus is £1 when booked in advance on the internet. If you want to take the train, it is only 1 hour to Oxford, leaving from Paddington Station and will cost approx £23 return.

• Reception is open from 08:00 until 23:30. If you are arriving outside of this time please email us
• ID required on check-in - Passport, driving licence or country ID card only - not student cards please
• Must be over the age of 18
• If you want to make a Group Booking of 5 people and more you must email us to make the booking
• We do not accept stag parties or any group that may cause other guests to feel uncomfortable or unsafe. We reserve the right to ask any group to leave at any stage through the duration of the reservation if other guests are made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe by the groups behaviour.
• Cancellation Policy:
Should you cancel with 24 hours notice prior to arrival of the booking, nothing will be charged to the given credit card.
Should you cancel without 24 hours notification or not show then the full amount of the first night stay will be debited from the given credit card*

Directions

Bus Station: From the bus station at Gloucester Green, turn right onto George Street and walk down the street (walk on the left hand side) and over the scenic bridge until you see the Backpackers sign on the left. Expect a 2-3 minute walk.

Train Station: From the train station, follow the road out and turn left. SAID business school will be on your left. Continue walking up the road about 100 metres. Oxford Backpackers is on the right side - you will see the big sign out of the front. Expect a 2-3 minute walk.

From the Megabus drop off on Oxpens Road (about 5 minutes walk), walk down Oxpens Road (which becomes Hollybush Row) towards the train station. Walk past the Oxford Hotel on your right, and turn right onto Hythe Bridge Street. You will see the Oxford Backpackers sign about 30 metres up the road.

By car: From London, driving on the M40, take Junction 8 onto the A40. When you get to the Ring Road, follow the signs in to the city centre
