We are located 4 miles from Ben Nevis at the south western end of the Caledonian Canal in a convenient village location at Corpach. This is on the A830 to Mallaig 4 miles NW from Fort William

The area is peacefully exciting with loads of outdoor activities - on site residential mountain and river guide for rock climbing, hill walking, kayaking, open canoeing and dinghy sailing, skiing and winter climbing.

This is a family-run, Alpine style hostel and bunkhouse, sleeping 10 or 14, in rooms of 4 & 6. This is ideal for families, couples, individuals, groups and clubs. PLEASE NOTE: - we only let by the room � in private rooms of 4 or 6 persons.


We are fully self catered and heated for all year round use. Hot showers and 2 efficient drying rooms are here. This is we an ideal location for touring, sightseeing and all outdoor activities - all year round.

Snowgoose Mountain Centre also offers in house instruction, courses and private guiding in kayaking, open canoeing, rock climbing & abseiling, mountain walking, winter mountain skills, ice climbing & dinghy sailing only with professionally qualified, experineced local guides. All from beginner upwards to advanced.
We also offer the hire of canoes, kayaks & sea kayaks, sailing dinghies for those who have relevant and other outdoor equipment. There is also the provision of a drop off / pick up service for paddlers. We also have a fully fitted motorised fishing craft for hire with a skipper.

No pets allowed. No Smoking please.
We are a family orientated hostel and welcome single sex groups but not stag or hen parties, or individuals and groups who wish to abuse alchohol or other substances.

Latest Check-out: 10:00
Check-in available only 15:00 � 20:00 hrs - outside these hours only by prior arrangement. Our office closes at around 17.00 hrs. If you are arriving later than 17: 00 hrs please let us know in advance.
If we are not in the office on arrival then please call us on our contact telephone number � we will not be far away. You will find all the contact details of the hostel on your booking confirmation. There is no 24hr reception but you are free to come and go as you please once you have checked.

A 10% deposit is paid direct to Hostelworld � this is non refundable.
Your balance needs to be paid direct to us 4 weeks prior to arrival - or at the time of booking if you have made your booking less than 4 weeks before your arrival date. Please ask us for payment details. We reserve the right to re-let your room if the balance is not paid on time. We do not accept cancellations made less than 4 weeks prior to arrival.

Directions

Take A82 N from Fort William for approx 1 mile. Take left turn at traffic lights over bridge to Mallaig on A830 for 2 miles to the village of Corpach.

Just before the shops in the village of Corpach take the left turn down to the train station and Caledonian Canal at the signs for Smiddy Bunkhouse & Snowgoose Mountain Centre. The Hostel is a 1 minute walk from Corpach Station, right alongside the West Highland railway line towards Mallaig.

If arriving by train please book to Corpach, stay on the train in Fort William and get off right outside the hostel - 2 stops out from Fort William - better than getting a bus or taxi from Fort William.
Direct rail /coach connections to the south via Glasgow. Excellent air / car hire links to Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.

Local buses (3 min walk) run every 20 mins to / from Fort William during the day until 1800 hrs. Every hour after 1800 hours until 2300 hrs.
