Description of Surrounding Area

Montserrat is an island (called a British Overseas Territory) located in the Caribbean, sometimes called the best-kept secret in the Caribbean, and also known as the "other" Emerald Ise. During the '60's and the '70's, Montserrat became a favourite winter home for many American, Canadian and British expats, and during the '80's and early '90's, American med students attending the offshore medical school mingled with famous rock stars recording at Sir George Martin's AIR studios - truly an exciting time for this island rich in history, and as beautiful as any island in the region. 1995 saw activity at the Soufriere Hills volcano in the southern portion of the island, and the residents of Montserrat have faced many challenges since then. Now 10 years later with the volcano quietly living along side us, we marvel at mother nature, and still relish the charms of this special place - almost crime free, pure drinking water from the tap, friendly people, sparkling black sand beaches, and now along with the natural beauty, the incredible landscapes one can see as a result of the volcano. And did we mention the weather - blissfully warm with those gentle tradewinds keeping you cool.

Description of Vacation Rental Property

Tradewinds Real Estate manages and rents a variety of privately owned villas, each with a fresh water swimming pool, furnished and decorated to high standards. Villas are 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms, and have full kitchens, laundry facilities, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a housekeeping service to keep the villa tidy. All you need is your suitcase! Homes are within a residential area, either Old Towne, Olveston or Woodlands. Beachs, restaurants, shopping, and tennis courts are only a 5 minute drive away.

Amenities

Each villa is equipped with a phone, Cable TV with about 50 stations including CNN, major US networks, BBC and BBC America, and a TV guide channel. In addition many homes have VCRs, DVD players, CD stereos, and barbeques, and some have DSL. Any guest of Tradewinds can (for a small hourly fee) have a user name and password to access the internet if you bring your laptop, or get an internet card from Cable & Wireless (our service provider)

Services Offered

Addition services offered include delivered meals, babysitting, vehicle rentals, tour guides, diving. Guests of Tradewinds can come into our office anytime we are there and check their email on our high speed connection. Just ask us and we will try to assist you in order to make your vacation perfect!
