Our 70 acre property is a working farm, a heritage site, and a family home where you will encounter a relaxed atmosphere - many of our guests are return visitors and have adopted Balenbouche as their second home.
The expansive gardens are alive with colourful tropical flowers, beautiful old trees, exotic fruits, and many indigenous birds. Our nature trails lead you to the remains of an 18th century sugar mill, and to several secluded beaches just a few minutes away.
The estate is also a popular venue for weddings, artist retreats, yoga retreats, educational projects, volunteers, and the annual St. Lucia Jazz Festival.
Balenbouche Estate is located on the south western coast of St. Lucia, just 20 minutes from the Hewanorra International airport.
You can catch the public bus from Balenbouche, taking you to the island's three main towns, Vieux Fort (20 minutes), Soufriere (40 minutes) and Castries (1 hour 30 minutes).
