The Ottawa Backpackers Inn is safe, clean and friendly.

We are centrally located and are close to almost all tourist attractions including the Parliament, Rideau Canal, Byward Market, the University of Ottawa, 24hrs super market. We are also near many pubs/bars and restaurants, and much more.

We have a fully equipped kitchen and offer free tea and coffee. The 24-hour supermarket is only a two minute walk away.

Check-In is welcome from 12pm - 12am.

Directions

From the Bus Station: Take bus #4 (Downtown) to the Rideau Centre (5 minute walk from the Rideau Centre through the Byward Market to 203 York Street). Alternatively, $12 taxi or 45 minute walk. If coming from Montreal, ask driver before boarding bus to drop you off at University of Ottawa (7 minute walk to hostel).

From the VIA Train station: Take any bus #95 going downtown to MacKenzie King Bridge * 10 minute walk through Rideau Mall and Byward Market to doorstep. Alternatively, $15 taxi or 1 hour walk.

By Car: From Highway #417 take the Nicholas Street exit all the way to the end (Rideau Street). Turn right and go two blocks to King Edward Avenue. Turn left on King Edward Avenue and then take the next left onto York Street (203 York Street).

From the Airport: Take bus #97 (Kanata) to MacKenzie King Bridge * 10 minute walk through Rideau Mall and Byward Market to doorstep. Alternatively, $35 taxi or $12 airport shuttle bus to Courtyard Mariott Hotel (two minute walk from hotel).
