Alaska Backpackers Inn

Alaska Backpacker's Inn is Anchorage's newest backpacker's hostel. We are located in downtown Anchorage only a few minutes walk from all that downtown Anchorage has to offer. We are right around the corner from the train station and Alaska direct bus.
The hostel contains 80 beds broken in small dorms (No more than 6 beds per dorm) and private rooms. Private rooms include cable TV (80 channels plus showtime) and Micro-fridges on each room. 2 shares have micro fridges as well. Other facilities include cable TV in a large common area which also has a foosball table and vending machines, reading room, kitchen, lots of clean spacious bathrooms and much more.

All our floors have been painted by local artists so each room has a different 'theme'. When building we used alot of recycled timber and other bits and pieces to add to the Alaskan feel.

Directions

We are located in downtown in between 4th and 5th avenue, 2 blocks north of the Sheraton hotel. We are 7 miles from the airport. The fare will cost you $20 give or take, however, once in the hostel everything is walking distance, so you wont have to pay for any more transportation inside the city. Even if you want to go farther away, We are 15 minutes away from the train station and as well as the bus transfer station in downtown. In between those two you can go all over the place
