Active Adventure
How about saddling up and riding horseback at dawn, without a building or fence to be seen? Or riding across mountain meadows full of all kinds of wildflowers, following the ancient routes Indians used in search of buffalo? Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a young cowboy 150 years ago, trailing cattle or catching wild horses? You can enjoy these experiences on your Montana Horse Country Adventure. Join us on a cattle drive, a horse roundup, or other ranch riding activities. We are dedicated to showing you a safe and exciting horseback adventure, whatever your riding skills are. We limit group size to foster friendships and to maximize your opportunity to enhance your riding abilities.

Typical Day
You'll awaken to a beautiful mountain sunrise, and the smell of a hearty cowboy breakfast wafting through camp. You will be riding in the field four to six hours during the day on cattle drives and the horse roundup, with a break for lunch. Ranch riding involves shorter distances and less continuous time in the saddle. (You may or may not be working with livestock; maybe you'll be packing salt or checking water tanks or fences.) You'll ride through ancient tribal hunting grounds and pioneer homesteads, with spectacular scenery in every direction. Following a satisfying supper, there's time to view plentiful birds and wildlife in the area. Day trips may be an hour or two of riding, followed by fishing, berry picking, or photography.
