Description of Surrounding Area

The Lodge is nestled at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains. View to the northeast overlooks the Snowy Range Mountains, south view includes the Encampment Wilderness area which offers a picturesques hiking trail following the Encampment River. The whole upper Platte valley is filled with beauty. Within walking distance is the Historical Encampment Museum. Fishing , hiking, hunting and scenic highway thru the Sierra Madres. Quiet and scluded part of town.

Description of Accommodations

Beautiful, handcrafted log lodge. Landscaped with green grass, evergreens, flowers and bushes. Front and back decks with outside hot tub. Stairs throughout the lodge. Two bedrooms with private baths upstairs and three bedrooms downstairs with shared hall baths. Recreation room filled with North American game, wood burning fireplace, pool table and Dish TV. Kitchen, dining room and sitting area on upper floor with sliding glass doors to patio.

Description of Rooms/Suites

Battle bedroom has private bath with shower or tub, california king bed, chair, lamps, closed closet and scenic window. Dillon bedroom has private bath with walk-in shower, california king bed, chair, lamps, closed in closet, scenic large window over looking grass, flowers and blue spruce trees. The three downstairs bedrooms each have two twins beds, lamps, chairs, open closets and bathrooms are in the hall. Large room to hang snowmobile clothing to dry.

Computer locatedi n the great room, upstairs,and available to our quests. Bar & Restaurant 5 blocks from lodge and another in Riverside, one mile away. Hot tub outside on the south deck in a private area. Phone available. Long distance with calling card. Dish TV, couches and chairs in recreation room.

Services Offered

Full country breakfast is included in the price of your room. Rooms can also be priced without breakfast. Menu will vary, but always includes coffe, tea and juice. Special needs are always addressed the best way we possibly can.

Restrictions

No smoking except out on patio. Children welcome, but because of stairs, must be carefully supervised. We have no way to add handicap access because of the stairs in and around the lodge. Pets accepted, but they must be social and tolerate strangers and other animals.

Directions

We are located on the south end of Lomax in Encampment, Wyoming. Lomax is 1 block east of the main road entering Encampment. You can proceed up M Caffery to 9th street where you turn left to Lomax, then turn right and you will see the sign and the log lodge.
