9 day Suriname ItineraryDay 1 Usa Gateway - SurinameReception upon arrival in paramaribo overnight Eco-Resort Inn. 2* hotelDay 2 Paramaribo – Brownsberg N.P.Half day tour of the port capital city of Paramaribo and visit to the Paramaribo ZooWith time permitting, also visits to the Fort Zeelandia Museum and the PalmgardenThen transfer by bus (2-3 hours) to Brownsberg Nature ParkOvernight in bungalows Located on the Pleateau, overlooking the man-made reservoir Van Blommenstein Meer (B/L/D)Day 3 Browns berg Nature Park – ParamariboA day hiking in the Reserve.In the afternoon return by bus to Paramaribo and overnight at Eco Resort Inn. (B/L/D)Day 4 Paramaribo – Ralleighvallen Nature ReserveThis nature reserve, situated along the Coppename River has an area of 78.170 acres and is a gate way to the Central Suriname Nature ReserveYou travel there by charter airplane (less then an hour). The reserve headquarters and the tourist lodges are located on Fungu Island in the middle of the Coppename River, where you will stay for the next 3 nights at the GONINI / LOLOPASI. Eco lodges.After arrival, you may visit the Manarivallen, where you can take a refreshing bath, after dinner, the guide informs you about the Central suriname nature reserve and the Marroon culture in this area.The days here are filled with jungle hikes, mountain hikes, birdwatching and dugout canoe trips. In the late afternoon you can take dugot canoe rides around the island which offers sightings of different bird species and of course the serene, untouched tropical rainforest. (B/L/D)Day 5 RalleighvallenAll day for exploringA typical day may begin early in the morning, you will depart equipped with a lunchbox and flask to the Voltzberg.The hike takes about 3 hours. Along the way you can enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna.Rest in the base camp at the foot of the mountain. The trip continues with climbing the top of the mountain (approx. 240 m high.). From where you will have a magnificent view of the rainforest canopy.After lunch you hike back to the riverside. You can take a relaxing bath in the Anjumara vallen.Dinner is served at the lodge (B/L/D)Day 6 Ralleigh Vallen ParamariboAll day for Exploring and Relaxing. A typical day may be in the morning, you will take an educational hike to the Moedervallen. If possible swimming is allowed at the Lolopasi beach.In the afternoon, you hike around Fungu Island.The guide teaches you more about the flora and fauna of Ralleighvallen. (B/L/D)Day 7 Free Time in the Early morning to explore, relax or swim.Late in the morning. The return flight departs to Paramaribo. The journey lasts about 50 minutes.The bus transports you back from Zorg & Hoop airfield to the Eco-Resort Inn.For the Overnight, if time permits, you can explore the city and visit Ready Tex, a native arts and crafts Gallery. (B)**Note that Lunch and dinner is not included this day to provide more personal choices.Day 8 Paramaribo Commewijne Plantation.On this day tour, you travel along the commewijne river after having breakfast by boat. (The Lady Blue, Wich its various old dutch colonial plantations of which some are still active.You will visit the New Amsterdam Museum; Marienburg, the oldest Sugarcance plantation in Suriname; Rust en Werk; the Tilapia fishery and Agricultural Projects in Alkmaar, Katwijk and Surroundings.You will see fisher men in the area pull in the Shrimps and you will visit the fish-Smokery.**Note that dinner is not included, as we will arrange a Farewell DinerDay 9 Suriname U.S.A GatewayTransfer from the Eco-Resort to the Johan Adolf Pengel Airport (zanderij) for return flight.The drive from Paramaribo to the Airport takes about an hour.
