Description   New River Hostel

New River Hostel offers affordable accommodation on a peaceful creekside setting. We have a welcoming atmosphere and West Virginia hospitality. We are conveniently located close to recreational opportunties in the sceanic New River Gorge. A whitewater boaters, climbers, bikers, hikers, or birdwatchers paradise! Everyone is welcome!

Bunk room or private rooms available. Many homely comforts but bring your own bedding (bottom sheet and pillow with fresh pillowcase provided). Efficiency kitchen with outside picnic table and grill. Two great porches and old pottery kiln shed fireplace with covered area for outdoor group gatherings.
Small groups welcome! Great location as base-camp for any small group passing through the Southern West Virginia, Fayetteville area or staying to explore the New River Gorge.

Directions

New River Hostel is located just off WV Rt. 16 just 5 minutes from Route 19 at Fayetteville in Beckwith. It is easily reached from Interstates I-64 and I-79, and U.S. Route 60 in south central West Virginia.


From Fayetteville –

-Take Rt. 16 North at the Rt. 19 Fayetteville intersection. (Landmark -Tutors Biscuit World)
-Look for “The Store” on the left – about 5 miles.
-About ¼ mile past “The Store” take first left onto Jenkins Fork Road – cross old stone bridge.
-Immediately after the bridge turn left – up Laurel Creek.
-About 1/8th mile turn left into driveway at barn shaped –red mailbox.


From Charleston –

-Take WV Rt. 60 East from Charleston approximately 50 miles. You will go past Gauley Bridge and over Gauley Mountain.
-At Chimney Corner intersection, take WV Rt. 16 South to Cotton Hill area where you cross the New River and begin climbing up along Laurel Creek.
-Less than 2 miles take first right onto Jenkins Fork Road at Beckwith –cross old stone bridge.
-Immediately after the bridge turn left – up Laurel Creek.
-About 1/8th mile turn left into driveway at barn shaped –red mailbox.
