It is with great pleasure that we invite you into the world of
rafting - Appalachian Wildwaters style. Step out of everyday life and experience the excitement of a river trip and the splendor of some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. We run two very special rivers: the New River and the Gauley River.The New River is perfect for first timers and seasoned rafters alike. There are two sections of the New River; the Upper New a trip for the younger rafters age 6 and up and the Lower New, full of roller coaster waves great for those 12 years of age and older.The Gauley River is famous for its fall trips that are run when water is released from the Summersville Dam starting after Labor Day and has two sections: the Lower Gauley and the Upper Gauley. For over 35 years, Appalachian Wildwaters has been bringing people and rivers together for unforgettable outdoor experiences. Along the way, we have added camping, tents on platofrms, rustic cabins, RV sites, and a base camp with a restaurant, outfitters store, Fire Creek Lodge and Conference Center, Red Dog River Saloon, pool and 18 person hot tub to make things easy and relaxing for you.So gather your friends and family and head to the river to refresh your spirit!

Typical Day
After camping at our outpost , your morning starts with a Lite Breakfast from our restaurant . Then its off to the deck where you get outfitted for your rafting trip. Down the river of your choice we serve you a delicious lunch along side the water. Then after your bus trip back from a fantastic fun filled day on the river, take a shower and change clothes, check out the photos of your trip, shop in our outfitters store, or hang out in the pool and hot tub. You may also chose to camp another night, have dinner in our restaurant or hang out in the Red Dog River Saloon.

Sleeping and meals
Sleeping arrangements vary. Camping can mean you bring your own tent or sleep in one we have set up for you in the Tents on Platforms. We also have Rustic Cabins, and RV sites available. There are numerous other options for lodging available in the area.
Restrictions
Pets are welcome provided that they do not disturb other guests and are kept on a leash at all times. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, so we can maintain our pet-friendly status.
