Hotel Danmark was decorated in several stages, with a main building that's centuries old and rightfully part of the old City . The cornerstone of the main building was laid in the 1790's by the City's Head Confectioner, Jens Raae . He ran his business out of the cellar and used the rest of the building as an inn .
Hotel Danmark is situated near the City hall Square (Radhuspladsen) and the pedestrian shopping street (Stroget) and a mere 127 steps from Tivoli Gardens . Behind the hotel is the oldest part of the city with its maze of cozy streets, restaurants and specialist shops . The cobblestone inner yard offers a quiet oasis in the midst of the pulsating city life, as well as an ideal place to enjoy your morning coffee in the Summer .
At Hotel Danmark you can opt for a smaller, standard room or the more comfortable superior rooms and junior suites . All rooms are equipped with cable tv, internet access, telephone, desk and bathroom with either a shower or bathtub
On the ground floor of the hotel is the Tivolihallen lunch restaurant .
