Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains, Carmel Valley Ranch is located on the sunny side of Monterey Peninsula beyond the coastal fog belt. In December 2009, The Ranch embarked on an exciting transformation, and has emerged this fall 2010 as a completely new style of resort that encourages guests to play, engage and connect. Taking full advantage of nearly 500 acres of magnetic landscape, the resort includes scores of programs and activities such as beekeeping, early morning hikes, and fitness classes. The new Spa Aiyana, drawing on the bounty of the region, offers a variety of relaxing and rejuvenating treatments. The renovation also includes a complete redesign of the 139 spacious suites that are scattered along the foothills, affording spectacular views. Each of the newly renovated guest suites features cathedral ceilings, spacious bathrooms with separate showers and soaking tubs, private decks, fireplaces, flat–screen high–definition TV's with blu–ray DVD players, iPod docking stations, and complimentary wireless Internet access.
