The Royal South Beach Hotel is located in the heart of South Beach on the corner of Washington Avenue and 8th Street, approximately 12 miles from Miami International Airport and 2 blocks from Ocean Drive. The unique, futuristic historic Royal has been reborn by fusing 1930's character with the latest in technology and design, creating an experience that will transport guests through time. The Royal was was built by a former Zeigfield Follies showgirl and designed by Miami Beach's two most renowned Art Deco architects. Henry Hohauser designed the ground floor in 1936 and the second and third floor hotel addition designed by L. Murray Dixon was completed in 1938. The unique look of the newly restored Royal is the masterful vision of famed designer Jordan Mozer, who is known for his contributions to such innovative projects as the new Cheesecake Factory in Chicago, House of Blues, the Bellagio, Mirage and Venetian Hotels in Las Vegas, and Barney's New York. The one-of-a-kind, modern furnishings Moser created for the Royal are as much functional, as they are works of art. The funkadelic new Royal is a classic example of Art Deco architecture revamped for the 21st Century. Each of 42 brightly colored rooms of the Royal features a modular queen sized floating bed with a head board that doubles as a bar, as well as Italian marble floors and new tiled bathrooms. Amenities include wireless internet access, beach chairs and towels, and VIP club passes. Valet parking with in and out priveleges is available for a charge of 22.47 per 24 hour period.
