This world-class resort casino is family-owned and operated. The son of Basque immigrants, John Ascuaga built the Nugget from a roadside coffee shop that opened in 1955. His touch is noticeable in details large and small. Hotel The newly-renovated East Tower features gorgeous new rooms with a comfortably sophisticated palate of warm tones, dark woods and crystal accents. They include heavenly presidential mattresses with upscale bedding and extra fluffy pillows. A 42in flat screen television adorns the wall in the main living area and high-speed WiFi is available. The traditionally-furnished West Tower offers extra large rooms with comfortable sitting areas in the standard king room, cozy bedding and spacious bathrooms.
