Description of Surrounding Area

Errols Sunset Cafe and Guesthouse is located on Negril's famous seven mile beach, in between Mariners Negril Beach Club and Travellers Beach Club.
As more and more discover, we offer better service and more privacy than larger hotels for less money.
In addition, our stretch of beach is a safe zone. The beach peddlers dare not approach anyone on our property. Our security is for real.

There are miles of beach to walk or chairs to lounge in. There are horses to ride at nearby old plantations, waterfalls to climb and cliffs to dive from with friends and family.

Or, enjoy a hassle free day at the beach relaxing. Escape into old school Negril vibes, complete with new sounds and longtime friends.

Description of Accommodations

The rooms are clean and inexpensive. Some rooms have two full beds while others have one.

April, May and June are hospitality months. Low season rates begin April 15th. For those in the hospitality industry, we offer an additional 10% discount off of low season rates! Just tell us where you work and your position and we will apply the discount.
If you are a server, cook, hostess, cashier or custodial support in the business and thought you could not afford a Jamaican vacation, you will be pleasantly wrong.
Pick up an extra shift or two a week and in no time at all, you will find yourself on the famous seven mile beach in Negril, warm and toasty.
Negril is a town full of restaurant and hotel workers. We are all from the same flock and love to chill with our own kind.

Description of Rooms/Suites

The cottages are built out of hard wood and have cut out shutters for air. They are air conditioned and bug free. However, be careful. A/C should only be used in the Summer. September thru April the natural cool breeze from the ocean is the only breeze you need. Each one has a verandah with room for a friendly visitor who wants to "chat you up." All of the country chic rooms are wired for cable TV complete with 24 hour reggae video.
At Errols there are no phones in the room, there are no two ways or internet connections. You have to rent a cell phone, call collect, recieve a message from the bar or go next door to the internet cafe to get in touch with anyone who is "not on the rock."
Each room has two full beds, tile or hardwood floor, a spaciously clean bathroom. The rooms are inexpensive, they are meant for the adventurous traveler who is budget conscious. There are two rooms that are more luxurious, check for availability and ask for rates. Book as soon as possible and confirm flight information at booking. These rooms stay full.

Amenities

The restaurant and bar are never closed. Morning, noon or night, one of Errols nephews will sell you a red stripe, play some music and beat you at dominoes.
We can recommend upscale gourmet restaurants, fish camps and pizza joints. It would take you five minutes to walk across the bridge, past the yoga center to get to the one Burger King in town.
Five nights out of seven, a spear fisherman or lobster trapper will sell his catch to Errols. Errols also always serves brown stew chicken, fried chicken, fries, soup and breakfast all day.
Enjoy the only top shelf bar on the beach. We serve Patron, Grey Goose, Hennesy, and feature wines every season.
You won't have to walk far to get to duty free shopping, the bank, the Ultamite Spa, or a "Jungle" of a nightclub.

We can arrange a day trip to a waterfall where you can swing on a vine like tarzan or jane and drop into the cool water below. Take a morning horseback ride up an old plantation hill. Rent a jet ski, parasail, snorkle in the coral reef. You can afford it. Each activity or day trip cost $50(snorkle every morning for a week), " You can afford the extras because at Errols we are not going to take all of you money just for a clean bed and bathroom. You only pay for what you need. If you need to just chill, it won't cost you a thing. It is priceless.

Restrictions

There is real justice in Jamiaca. For the most part, you get what you give out.
In Jamaica, the measure of a man's wealth is determined by how much she gives away, not how much he has. Take on this philosophy when dealing with new people and you will make out just fine.
Just know that it is o.k. to say "no thank you," or "I'm broke."
For sure money speaks. It is o.k. to be quiet.

Other Information

Marijuana is illegal in Jamaica. Be respectful and humble should you encounter police officers. We will let you know if we see any.
