The Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge is situated at the entrance to Alice Springs, approximately nine miles from the airport and three miles from the town center. Local attractions include Alice Springs Desert Park, Reptile Center, School of the Air, The Old Ghan Train Museum, The National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame and the Telegraph Station.Hotel amenities include complimentary transfers to downtown Monday to Friday 4 times a day, free gas barbecues, camping grounds, petrol station, ice machine, guest laundry, baggage storage, complimentary parking, tour assistance and bookings, and supermarket. Guests may also enjoy the outdoor pool and children's playground. Onsite drink and dining is available at the Heavitree Gap Tavern, which features large-screen TV, billiards, and beer garden. Each night at sunset a colony of wild Black Footed Rock Wallabies descend from the MacDonnell Ranges for hand feeding by guests at the Lodge.Guest rooms feature A/C, Tea & Coffee facilities, international direct-dial telephones, AM/FM alarm clock radios, TVs, in-room movies, sky racing channel and refrigerators.Rates are based on double occupancy.
