Residence Santa Chiara is located in the eastern part of the city and very close to some villas, monasteries and gardens from Renaissance times.

Accommodations

The bed & breakfast Residence Santa Chiara is an ancient bourgeois house built in the second half of the 16th century, in the historical centre of Lucca inside the medieval boundaries.
It is located in front of the suggestive gardens of Bottini Villa, once residence of Elisa Bonaparte.
From the Residence Santa Chiara, you can easily reach all principal historical attractions of the old city in a few minutes and the beautiful sights of Tuscany.
Finished of restructure in the 2006, our house is composed of the main building with all rooms with private bathroom and air-conditioning. At a distance of 80 meters, you will find our separate dependence.
From June to September, guests can enjoy their breakfast buffet in our little garden.

Rooms/Suites

All the comfortable rooms located in the hotel are fully equipped with a TV, hairdryer, electronic safety deposit box, minibar, desk, cupboard and heating. Any additional facilities are listed below:

Double Superior: these comfortably spacious, air-conditioned rooms are have an en suite shower and bath.

Double Standard: these air-conditioned en suite rooms are smaller than the Superior rooms and have a shower.

Triple Rooms: these air-conditioned en suite rooms have one double bed and one single bed (or 3 single beds).

Quadruple Rooms: these air-conditioned rooms have an en suite bathroom with shower and either one double bed and 2 single beds (or 4 single beds). Each room also has a balcony with a table and chairs where you can have breakfast, and a living room with table and chairs. In the summer you also have direct access to the breakfast buffet.

Single Rooms: these comfortably spacious en suite rooms are tastefully decorated and each have a fan.

Annexe Rooms: located in a separate building, one of these rooms has an en suite wash room and toilet and the other has a private bathroom outside of the bedroom. All annexe rooms are spacious and are equipped with a TV, heating, hairdryer, cupboard and fan.

Directions

By Car:
- Exit the motorway at Lucca Est, then follow the directions to the train station.
- When you reach the station, continue ahead, keeping the city walls on your left.
- After about 1 km, you will reach the Porta Elisa gate.
- Enter inside the medieval walls through this gate, then take the second right into Via S. Chiara.
- After about 100 metres you will see the Residence Santa Chiara.

By Train:
You can easily reach the residence from the railway station on foot in about 10 minutes.
- Leave the train station and turn right, keeping the town walls on the left.
- Enter the town of Lucca through Porta Elisa, then turn right into Via Bacchettoni.
- Take the first left into Via Brunero Paoli.
- At the end of the street, on the corner with Via S. Chiara, you will see the residence.

Alternatively you can take a taxi.

By Plane:
The Residence Santa Chiara provides a taxi service to/from Pisa Airport at the cost of EUR 50 by car, or EUR 60 by a mini van which holds up to 8 people.
