Why true hostel? Because we specialise not only in accomodating, but also in guiding and entertaining people ;)
Well, summer is over... Fortunately except for potential problems it has its brigh sides, too.
For exemple in Momotown it means no lines in the showers, but still enough crowd to chat about in our common room. We have just adjusted our menu, and instead of serving gummy bears soaked in vodka, in the evenings we gather around Polish-style mulled wine. In autumn/winter season you will find the biggest variety of cultural events in Krakow, and our reception always gives you details and suggestions. This is also definietly the best time to make friends with local college students hanging out in countless bars and cafes around Momotown. Last but not least, our prices are lower now, there will be more to enjoy the town...
You will have everything at hand because we are located in the most happening part of Krakow's centre called Kazimierz. You can roughly and relatively imagine our neighbourhood as one of Paris's Bellville, New York's TriBeCa or Sydney's Kings Cross. The atmosphere here is really exceptional. And the main market square is only 10 minutes walk away.
Just get ready for the great hostel experience - Momotown is the backpacker hostel as it should be!

From the airport take a shuttle train to the main train/bus station.
From there, we suggest you take a tram either no. 50 or 51. It is an underground tram and the entrance to the stop is from train station platform no. 1 (the same which a shuttle train from the airport gets you on). You need to take a tram with directions "Kurdwanow" or "Biezanow Nowy", get off at fifth stop called "Miodowa", turn right into ulica Miodowa and procced to number 28. You can buy tickets form machines inside a tram, and just remember to validate them.
Walking from the train/bus station lasts approximately 15 minutes. You need to get to the underground passage situated in front of the main train station building. Leaving to the left, take ulica Westerplatte and get to the big Post Office building, then take a left into ulica Starowislna (not to confuse with ulica Wielopole), cross ulica Dietla and straight along ulica Starowislna get to ulica Miodowa. Now you only need to make a right - we are at number 28.
Taxistands are located above train station platforms, in front of the bus station building, or in front of the shopping centre. Expect to pay no more then around PLN 20 (c. 5 euro).
