Our rooms consist of communal dormitories, ensuite dormitories, private double and family rooms.

With the option of female, male or mixed sex, all dormitories sleep a maximum of 4 guests. All dormitories offer a free personal locker with your own power point enabling you to charge your phone, ipod, camera, etc knowing it will be secure. Each bed has clean, fresh linen and a towel along with a personal reading light. All mattresses are fully sprung (no foam rubber in sight!). The room has individual air conditioning or heating and access is through top of the range security cards.

Free breakfast is available every day from 7.30am to 9.30am; a choice of cereal, toast and orange juice. Tea and coffee is available all day, every day. We also offer rice and pasta free of charge and a free weekly meal is provided every Monday.

Our popular in house Urban Bar has the cheapest drinks in town and offers daily happy hour with $6 jugs of Beer and glasses of wine and bubbly for $2.50. There�s free entertainment every night including quizzes, competitions, live music and stand up comedy; there are pool tables, table football and a plasma and big screen for movies and televised events.

Other facilities include cheap high speed internet, two TV areas with Plasma screens, excellent cooking facilities and a travel desk which offers expert information on Melbourne and unique tour packages and discounts only available to Urban Central guests.

Urban Central is ideally located in Melbourne�s vibrant Southbank adjacent to the famous Crown Casino. The city is a 5 minute walk and with public transport on our doorstep, St Kilda is only a 10 minute tram ride. Shopping around UC is excellent and with the city just a 5 to 10 minute walk, Southbank �chic� shopping across the road, South Melbourne shopping strip and market only seconds away, Port Melbourne shopping strip a 15 minute walk (on the way to the beach) and a Direct Factory Outlet about a 10 minute walk, you�re bound to find what you need!!!

**Please note that we require ID from ALL guests that stay at Urban Central. ID must either be a passport, drivers license or keypass. A $10 Cash key deposit will also be needed from all guests on check in**

** Check in time is after 2pm. If you arrive early you are welcome to store your bags.If booking for more than one person please note that you will have to arrive at the same time and pay together. Checkout is 10am. You are also welcome to store your luggage for free on the day you check out**

** Please also note that while we always try to fit group bookings into the same rooms, we do not guarantee this. If you would like your group to be in the same room, book one of our private rooms which can sleep 3 - 4 people.**

Directions

From Airports:
From Melbourne international airport (Tullamarine) ride the Skybus to Southern Cross Station. ($16.00 one way)

From Avalon domestic airport The Sunbus will get you to Southern Cross Station. ($20.00 one way)

Train:
From Southern Cross or Flinders Street station, catch the Sandringham line to Windsor station (just a 10 minute ride) Turn left at Chapel St and Walk north 2 blocks, turn left into Green Street and we are located on the left. ($4.00 as of Jan 1st 2012)

Tram:
From the City board the number 6 Tram anywhere on Swanston st. Get off at Chapel St (stop number 31). Turn right and walk south 3 minutes. Turn right into Green St and we are located on the left. ($4.00 as of Jan 1st 2012)
