A typical day in Altos del Maria waking up in the morning after a cozy night in the middle of that tropical forest where nothing else but the sounds of silence can be heard. With the fresh breeze in and out of your windows. And the awakening with hundreds of births singing in every tree giving thanks for a new and beautiful day. Get up and walk to the river and swimm in a great wild area with fresh and pure waterfalls.Read at the front porch or just sit and drink a good glass of vine. Cook yourself a fabulous dinner with every tool at the cabin you could need to do so.

Sleeps & # of Bedrooms

Cabins are only meant for nature-loving couples. They are located in a wild and natural environment, with flowers everywhere and little lights at night without disturbing the view, so you can enjoy a clear sky especially on full moons. My husband and I will give you a warm welcome and make sure you spend a never forgetting and wonderful experience. Peace!

Directions

You need to take Corredor Norte. Signs of Corredor Norte, are everywhere. If you prefer to reach Panama City firs, it is still better and easier. You may also hire for only $6.00 a taxi in Panama City to drive in front of you to take you to the deviation at Corredor Norte that reads Arraijan / Puente Centenario. This I always recommend to my guests. But if you have been in Panama before you can manage by yourself.

Take the toll that reads ARRAIJAN / PUENTE CENTENARIO. You then will be on the INTERAMERICAN HIGHWAY. Never , ever take any turn from here on, but just continue on this main road. Remember it has always to have the two double lanes on each direction with a separation in the center. (There is a road toward Chorrera that confuses my guests and if you take that road you are on the wrong highway. Never take any road that has not a separated two lane going and coming road even if the road looks wide. Check always that is has a separation in the middle of the road where you cannot make a U turn. You need to pay on this Chorrera highway a toll of 0.50 cents. You will be more or less half way to the entrance to Altos del Maria.

The entrance to Altos del María is more or less on Km. 70 away from Panama City. You won't see the KM sign, very often only a few times. The last one you will see is the one that reads KM 60. So you can more or less be sure that there are approximately 10 more km. to drive. Anyway you will see the sign that reads ALTOS DEL MARIA / PIO PIO and a huge arch. Here you need to enter to your right hand and follow from there on the signs that read ALTOS DEL MARIA. Always look at your right hand at the stones that will indicate you on what km. you are on. It is exactly 19 KM until you will reach the gate to enter Altos del Maria. It can not be seen from the road until you reach it. But immediately before the gate you will see at your left hand a beautiful new house that is the Sales House of ALTOS DEL MARIA. 100 meters or a little more after this Sales Office you will see at your left the gate to Altos del María.

When you reach Altos del María's gate just inform the guard that you are visiting the cabins of Señora Frauke. From here on follow the yellow line until its end, now turn to your left. Our road is called CALLE EL MANANTIAL. 300 meters further on this road CALLE EL MANANTIAL you will see my two cottages at your right hand. I will be across the street.
