Firefly Beach Cottages, the best-loved little hotel in Negril, is located right on the beachfront in the best section of the famous Negril beach. There is an eclectic selection of rooms from beachfront penthouse suites for couples in love to intimate studios and one bedroom apartments for up to four guests, to a 2 bedroom unit for the large family or small group. Each room is uniquely furnished with local creations and art, has fresh flowers and a beachfront or garden view veranda. Firefly has more flowers per square yard than any other hotel in Negril and entice the hummingbirds to visit every day. Each morning the staff serves free coffee at the beach bar or at your beach lounger. You can walk or jog one and a half miles south on the beach or 3 miles north - best done early morning to catch the wonderful light or just before the sun sets a bloody red in the sea. You might even be lucky enough to see the elusive green flash the final second before the sun disappears and the moon takes over for a romantic evening. Whether you wish to try your hand at preparing a local dish or just wish to keep your drinks cool, kitchens are provided. A multi-lingual library, gym, Jacuzzi under the stars and the weekly beach party at Firefly should not be missed. Many guests say that what brings them back most of all is the special ambiance of Firefly and the friendliness of all the staff, from admin, housekeepers, and smiling barmaids, to gardeners and security men. Front desk hours are from 8:30am-6:30pm. Housekeeping is from 930am-4pm. Please note that this property is clothing optional on the grounds, on guest verandas and on the nearby beach. With 5 miles of white sand, the famous beachfront of Negril is probably the best in the Caribbean as it has everything from quiet sunny and tree-shaded areas, little wooden shops, and lively atmospheric bars, to restaurants, concerts, and all water sports.
