Surrounding Area

While here in the Gaspe Peninsula, there are two major places to visit. One is Forillon National Park with its great trails at the official end of the Appalachian Trail where you may meet black bear and moose. Nearby is a wonderful outdoor and museum exhibit of the MicMac Indian culture as well as the Gaspe Museum of history and art. Then going the other way from our Campground you will find famous Perce town with its nature-sculpted Perce Rock. Offshore is world famous Bonaventure Island, home to the second largest colony of Gannets in the world, largest in North America. We can arrange for your ferry tickets to see this astounding colony of birds. And don't forget that we can make you reservations at one of the finest restaurants in Eastern Canada, the Auberge le Coin du Banc with its special seafood treats. If you golf, ten miles away there is one of the most challenging 18 hole courses in Canada and we can make tee times for you. There is some of the best whale watching nearby and even from your own RV site!

RV Park

Our park is small in size but large in every other aspect, from its cleanliness, its quiet atmosphere, fine trails, ocean beach, and tons of information given freely. You have choices of sites from those for TENTS on the ground, tents on huge cedar platforms, tents near the water or tents in the forest for primitive Camping. Or, you can park your BIG RIG next to your own private cedar deck with an outdoor stove and table just for you. And there you will have a view of the ocean to write home about.

Rooms/Cabins

We don't have high speed internet in this area yet, but some places in Gaspe town are set up with wi-fi. We have two places in the campground where you can set up your computer (or rent ours). If you have been missing all the news on TV you can hook up to our cable TV service which provides over 22 English (American and Canadian) channels,. with CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC among many others. If you have a satellite it will most likely get reception here. We will provide you the coordinants if you wish.

Amenities

We will make reservations and act as your concierge as much as we are able. We have kennel service (daily), you provide the pup, the blanket, water and food. If you want to try kayaking in the bay, we rent by the hour or day.

Services Offered

Your dogs and cats and other critters are welcome. Just keep them on a leash and we will give you pick-up bags free. We have no smoking in our bath house and laundry. Each Campsite is provided with a sand bucket for smokers.

Directions

As you go around the Gaspe peninsula on Rte 132, you will come to Gaspe town. (Before that, if you wish to save miles, take Rte 197 to Gaspe town as a shortcut back to 132). After Gaspe town it is 20 miles to our campground, seaside. If you were coming north from New Brunswick, we are 18 miles north of Perce town proper. So we are between Gaspe and Perce. (Note: Perce is a consolidated town made up of seven villages, all with Perce in the name; don't be confused)
If you are in a big rig, especially a 5th wheel, email us and we will tell you about a bypass to the horrid hills of Perce.
