Perched on a hill with soaring views of Moosehead Lake and exquisite décor at the upper end of the luxury scale is inland Maine’s most beautiful inn. An unexpected sight rising up from the hillside amid the wilds of northern Maine, the highly acclaimed country bed and breakfast inn is renowned for its accommodations, award winning dining and summer evening concerts.
The historic 1891 estate is the centerpiece of fifteen acres of mature gardens, woodlands, fields of wildflowers and a tranquil pond. Its views of Moosehead Lake and the surrounding mountains are second to none. The vast blue waters of Moosehead Lake stretch out before you. The sky is huge and the colors are rich. Its vista leaves you without words.
The 9,000 square foot mansion is grand and architecturally significant. Built upon massive stone walls with canons guarding its dominating location from each corner, the inn is a landmark of the Moosehead Lake Region.
Many guests simply describe Blair Hill Inn's eight guest rooms with an "Ahhh..." Warm color palettes, rich fabrics and antiques set the tone for each room; of course there are hardwood floors and lovely area rugs. Small details are attended to, with your comfort being the goal.
