Welcome to Sunset House with private swimming pool.
A friendly family run B and B in a lovely house in a lovely area.

We are situated in the Department of Limousin, on the outskirts of the market town of Magnac Laval. With lovely gardens and private Swimming Pool.

A substantial and varied breakfast is served at your convenience in the morning which is included in the price unlike hotels in France! English breakfast is extra 8 euros.
Evening meals are served if booked please let us know if you require this service the first evening.

An ideal stopover between the ferry ports and Frances South coast and Spain. As we are situated 10 minutes from junction 23b on the A20 motorway, the main motorway heading to the South, Spain and Portugal. Great if you want an overnight stay without the worry of getting lost in a major city like Limoges, although only 1/2 hour Drive to Limoges means you can be in the city very quickly for a meeting etc.
We pride ourselves on serving wonderful fulfilling eat as much as you want breakfasts and fabulous evening meals and BBQs beside the pool.

If you have a bigger party you can have the whole house sleeping 11people
Or the suite sleeping six people.
The double room has a bathroom next to it and so does the family room (more often than not the bathroom is private to you) no more than two rooms share a bathroom.
Rooms available with a small lounge/dining room and full use of the main Lounge and dining room ( Sky TV and Video)

There is a Patio area to the front of the house for Al-Fresco dining and evening drinks and watching the wonderful sun set.
The house has private parking the rear in the large garden which has a sun terrace with loungers and BBBQ. Private Pool available to all guests.
Laundry facilities available. Mountain bikes can be hired. Fishing permits are available at the local shops and bars for the nearby lake and river Bram.

Limousin is an area full of historical and natural interest. The property lies in a rural area surrounded by open countryside and several small villages and medieval towns of Le Dorat, Bellac,Chateauponsac, Montmorollon and Poitiers there is Futuroscope (3/4 hr drive) Limoges (25 min). Close by is the beautiful Lac de St Pardoux with its beaches and camping and restaurants, water slide, wind surfing and Boating /pedalos.
Most towns in the region have some historical interest, none more so than Oradour sur Glane which was destroyed by German soldiers in 1944 and remains today as a monument to its former inhabitants. Not far away is the Kayak centre of france at Lathus, Horse racing takes place at Le Dorat, and La Rochefoucauld boasts a Grand chateau and chocolate factory, both worth a visit.

Magnac Laval itself has a supermarket, two pharmacies, three boulangeries two hairdressers six bars most serving meals, a bank, a post office and various other shops. There are several good French restaurants in the local area for dining out.

Directions

The nearest Airport in Bellegarde at Limoges, Poitiers is also near, both with daily flights to and from Stansted. The nearest railway is five minutes away at Le Dorat ( pick-up available) this connects via Paris to Eurostar. Close to the A20 motorway at junction 23b 10 mins or 17 kms. Signed Magnac Laval.
When coming into Magnac Laval go the to town square with the La Poste to your right turn left ant the traffic lights and take the D7 to Bellac for 1 km and its on your left.
IMPORTANT
Please if you are using Sat Nav put in D7 Magnac Laval as Rue de Bellac will take you to another address in the centre of Limoges.
