The sun is just up, and, Kanha Meadow shimmers. It is October. Only a few days ago, the park has reopened to the public after three months of rest. The monsoon has rejuvenated all nature. At the start of a new season, Kanha is once again a meeting place, an intersection of wildlife and humankind. The rains have renewed Kanha, and Kanha will now nourish and renew her guests. A gentle, silvery mist still wraps the great vista of the Meadow in its folds. A small party of chital saunters daintily across the road and ambles toward Partak Nallah. Last to cross is a majestic stag. Emerging from the long grass, he stands stock still for a moment, carving a silhouette against grasslands and trees, low hills and horizon and ghostlike sun. He offers an invitation.Kanha National Park - Kipling’s Own Country, is the setting for the famous Jungle Book. Just a short distance from the main entrance gate of the Kanha National Park (Village Khatia), The Krishna Jungle Resort provides visitors with a truly exciting and rewarding experience. The lodge nests in 6 acres of thick forest and provide an ideal setting for bird watching for a natural history oriented traveler.The Krishna Jungle Resort has been created by a passion for wildlife, nature and environment. We cater to nature lovers all over the globe particularly to those who demand responsible tourism. Krishna Jungle Resort helps the local aboriginals by providing them with medical assistance, education, training and employment. When you come to Krishna, it is not just a holiday; you actively contribute to environment, the nature and the wildlife.

Typical Day

You will get an early wake up call at about 0515 hrs. Tea/Coffee & Biscuits would be ready in the enclosed ‘Banjar’ Restaurant, get ready for Jeep safari through the stately dense Sal forest (Shorea Robusta) and the wildlife adventure of Kanha begins. You will be taken in the core area for tiger tracking and wildlife viewing in customized 4WD safari vehicles. The duration of safari is about five hours accompanied by an experienced forest guide.Breakfast would be an adventurous affair today as it would be in the woods inside the core area of Kanha Tiger Reserve.You will be given an elephant ride, (subject to Tiger sighting) you return to lodge by 11 a.m. Have a bath, take a short nap. Lunch would be served at the pool lawns. After lunch just sit by the poolside, read a book from our library or just take a stroll around 8 acres of resort and feel the ambience.The Evening Safari would start by 1445 hrs and you would be returning at about 1800 hrs. . Evening Tea/Coffee Biscuits would be served in the ‘Aangan’, where you can share experiences of other guests who would have just returned from the Safari.Drinks around the bonfire followed by Dinner in the Baradari Restaurant (Al-fresco Dining)
