Description of Organization

Tujifunze:-The Centre for Information Technology :-is non-profit organization
“Tujifunze” in Swahili means learning. This programme involves working with a Tanzanian non-profit organization located in Mwanza and Bukoba, Tanzania EAst Africa. The organization is committed to uplifting and empowering communities, especially disadvantaged groups, such as Orphans/Children, Women and the Elderly. The organization tries to use the information, communication and technology .


Tujifunze:- The Centre for Information Technology (TCIT) . is authorised legally to operate in Tanzania main land,began to operate in Kagera and Mwanza region

Description of Activities

SOURCE OF FUNDS

• Funds shall be solicited from Individuals, the Government (Local and Central) ,Donor Agencies, Co-operative Union and other sources, Funds may be accepted as contributions, Donations , and grants,
• Member’s contributions in the form of entry fees and annual fees, Entry fees shall be paid at the time of membership application while annual membership shall be paid by the member as lamp sum or instalments.,

• Vision of the Organization shall be build the communities with ability of equitable utilization of Tujifunze and those from external sources towards improvement of well being of rural and urban poor households in Tanzania ,

• The organization is a Non-Governmental Organization NGO, which is not affiliated to any political party. The main activity of the organization is to facilitate access to information Technology for sustainable development, initiatives towards poverty alleviation among the marginalized communities and groups: -such women, youths, disables, street children, elders and Environment
