Description of Surrounding Area

San Roque de Grecia is a wonderful little mountain town located just 2km from the center of Grecia and the beautiful Red Metal Church. Just minutes from our door is the world's famous Sarchi, known for the wonderful handicrafted Ox Carts, handcrafted furniture and other wood handicrafts

Go a little further up the mountain to the lovely La Paz Gardens, which is located just 5km from the Poas Volcano.

Head out to San Ramon and enjoy that beautfiul clean city that sits up higher on the mountain , in fact you will be in the clouds.

Description of Accommodations

Upon you arrival to our Guest House you will be prepared a wonderful welcome meal. This will give you an opportunity to sit and relax. just get your bearing after a long plane ride or drive from another part of the country.

All Accommodations at La Terraza have private entrances , private baths w/hotwater, and private terrace ,furnished with hand carved Nicaraguan rocking chairs.

When you awaken in the morning, enjoy a wonderful country style breakfast of your choice. North American cuisine of Costa Rican custom, unlike you will be served breakfast at any other accommodations. We try to make sure you can have it your way.

Directions

La Terraza Guest House is located in Grecia, which is in the Province of Alajuela. When you leave the airport travel Northeast, follow the sign for Puentarenas, then take the exit for Grecia about 30 km from the airport. After you have taken the turn to Grecia stay on the road until you come to the center of Grecia, there you will see the famos red metal church on your left go to the first street in back of the church turn left, follow this street until you get to a dead end then turn left, go one block you will see a sign that points to San Roque, take the right at this corner after you stop for the stop sign. Stay to the right of the street because it will Y just before climbing a hill, stay on the right. The street will end at the very top of the hill make a right, then a very quick left, you will see a small sign that says Calle Salguero, come on down to the bottom of the hill. You will see a bridge that has been painted a bright blue. We are the last house on the left behind a concrete wall, with a gate sign that says La Terraza.
