Vilankulo serves as the gateway to the marine paradise of the Bazaruto Archipelago. With clear blue waters which play host to a myriad of ocean life and soft, white, sandy beaches there are a host of water sports available including scuba diving, snorkelling, deep sea fishing and dhow trips around the islands to mention just a few. The lodge management will assist in organising activities for guests on request.

The town itself has many attractions including a vibrant market and several good restaurants. It is also possible to buy fresh seafood from the local fishermen at the harbour.

Accommodations

Deacra is a newly opened complex comprising of two lavish houses built along the beachfront and ensuring excellent vantage points from where to enjoy exceptional views of the tranquil Indian Ocean. The houses each comprise of 3 twin bedrooms all with bathrooms en-suite, a fully fitted kitchen, open plan dining area and the luxury of a private swimming pool and garden.

Deacra now offers accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis as well as self catering (if guests take the whole house

All rooms are en-suite with french doors opening onto a spacious patio which provides magnificent views of the ocean

Amenities

Each house has it's own private swimming pool. There is no restaurant at Deacra, but Vilanculos offers several eating out options a few minutes drive away

Services Offered

For guests who are flying into Vilankulo and do not have their own transport the lodge management does offer airport transfers as well as transfers into town should you wish to go out for lunch or dinner. A packed lunch can be provided by the lodge if required
