JavaCove Beach Hotel is a small hotel located in front of the main Pointbreak in Batu Karas Beach - Indonesia's friendliest surf spot. Batu karas offers fun, long waves rolling through a sandbottom tropical bay. There's waves suitable for beginner surfers, and other spots for intermediate surfers.

Surf a fun warm water sandbottom pointbreak - fast and barrely at takeoff, slow and smooth through the bay.

Refuel on watermelon fruit salad with fresh museli, shaved coconut and yoghurt, a mango smoothie and real Javanese coffee at the funky JavaCove Beach Hotel.

Surf again? Or explore: visit a national park teeming with jungle life; cruise in a canoe through emerald green river gorges; swim in crystal clear waterfalls; take in a shadow puppet show in a simple village setting; or just kick back with a book.

Lunch/dinner? The local 'warungs' (simple restaurants) serve fresh seafood, as well as Indonesian dishes such as fried rice, noodles, gado-gado, banana pancakes and more. 'Al fresko' cafe/bar @ JavaCove offers a Western menu with pizza, pasta, pies, ice cream, fresh juices, local and imported beers and even espresso coffee.

JavaCove was established by surfers for surfers and people looking to discover the natural attractions of this remarkable part of Indonesia. We are family-friendly, but we've found the kids who enjoy the JavaCove experience the most love the outdoors and have no trouble entertaining themselves (we don't have a swimming pool or Playstation consoles at our hotel). Please consider whether this type of experience is suitable for your kids before booking your family holiday to Batu Karas!
