Dahab is a haven for water sports, activities and adventures. We offer Dive safaris for experianced divers and arrange dive courses for learners via our Dive Centre Partners.

We also offer wind surfing and kite surfing, free diving from begginer to expert.

At Sheikh Salem House Desert safaris in Sinai are our speciality, and we use local bedouin guides who offer a wealth of knowledge and experience. Sinais Bedouin are masters of the desert and have great stories to tell about their ways of life and culture.

Typical Day

Dive Safaris and Desert Safaris 1 day up to 14 days
1 day safari (Example Itinerary)
8am collection from guest house by Jeep
9- 10am arrive at Dive Site or desert location
Explore coral reefs or desert landscapes
12 - 1pm Lunch freshly prepared by bedouin guide
1 -3pm explore reefs or desert
3 - 3:30pm take tea and relax
3:30pm continue exploration or relax
5pm return to dahab or continue for overnight experience and diner

Age range, type of group

Dive Safaris - experinced divers with at least PADI open water only therefore 16 years or over

Desert Safaris - Suitable for all ages, couples and families

Sleeping and meals

Sleeping accomodaiton on safaris is either basic hut style or bedouin tent. Pillows, sleeping bags, blankets are provided. A Campfire and meals freshly prepared by our experienced bedouin guides. Meals are meat,chicken, fish or vegetarian served with rice, salad and delicious bedouin bread. Breakfasts include fruit, pancakes, bread and jam, and traditional bedouin breakfasts.

Policies & Restrictions

No pets allowed at Sheikh Salem House, however on our desert safaris dogs and pets are welcome.

Our Guest House - Sheikh Salem House - offers accomodation for all budgets in a magnicent setting and provides a perfect relaxing base for exploring Dahab and Sinai. We are set on an un spoilt beach just 5 - 10mins walk from the town centre.

We offer Deluxe Suites and Budget Rooms with amazing sea views of mountain and garden views.

We are an eco friendly company and are recycling and reusing whereever we can and doing our bit to protect our wonderful and unique environment.

We are managed by an English, Egyptian and Bedouin team to european and western standards.
