Description of Surrounding Area
The home is in the heart of one of Jerusalem's older and most picturesque neighborhoods, which borders on the area of the main food market, which is a major tourist attraction as well. It is a short walk from the central bus station which is very convenient for day trips and many of the Jerusalem attractions like the Old City, Begin Center, Jerusalem Theatre, Israel Museum, Bible Lands Museum, as well as the Knesset and Supreme Court. The restaurants, of which there are many can be found in the marketplace as well as on a pedestrian mall which is a five minute walk. Also one of Jerusalem's most beautiful parks is a less than a five minute walk from the house.
Description of Accommodations
The house is split level on the second and third floor of a building. It is spacious and its most outstanding feature is the terrace which gives a breathtaking view of the city. It is a minute from the marketplace, buses, post office, moneychangers etc.
Description of Rooms/Suites
Rooms are basic and comfortable. There are two full bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath and they are shared by all. The living space is large and comfortable with an open kitchen and the terrace off the living room almost as an extension. The house is modern, bright, warm and inviting.
Amenities
All amenities are literally within a five minute walk. There is an excellent Indian restaurant in the market and many meat restaurants. Internet cafes are easy to find and all major hotels are within a 15-20 minute walk.
Services Offered
Rooms are cleaned weekly and bedding changed and towels are given as needed. There is also a laundromat and dry cleaners in the neighborhood.
Restrictions
This B&B is for Women Only.
It is kosher and sabbath is observed, however, all women are welcome.
Other Information
Shabbat meals are available by reservation at additional cost.
