Description of Activity/Tour
The Institute of Modern Spanish provides Spanish language & conversation classes as well as Mexican culture classes to students of all levels and ages. Located in the cosmopolitcan city of Merida, the Institute of ModernSpanish also provides family homestays and cultural excursions. Teachers and host families are experienced working with students from around the world.
Typical Day
Students take Spanish classes in small groups of maximum 5 (average 3) from 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM with a break for socializing and relaxing by the pool at 11:00 AM. If students opt to stay with a host family, they will be transported to their host family's home for the main afternoon meal. Afternoons are free for exploring the city or participating in Institute of Modern Spanish activities such as exursions to the beach or nearby Mayan ruins and small villages, cooking classes, salsa dancing classes and other extra activities.

All ages--families,couples, singles,kids, youth and seniors.
Sleeping and meals
Most students opt to stay in the home of a local host family. Family homestay includes three meals/day.
Restrictions
Opened year round with classes starting every Monday.
Other Information
Installations include pool-side, air-conditioned classrooms with free wireless internet.
