The only place where you will be taken to a DAY TRIP - leaded by Bulgarians. Out of question - we do the best BUDGET DAY TRIPS in the town and the area. Usually after the day trip our guests are happy to be invited to DINNER with us - a real local HOME MADE FOOD AND DRINKS, not sandwiches or pasta. It is too boring for us to offer so famous food. We do not offer only a food - like pasta and beer(one of the worst combinations anyway), but we offer an adventure in the unknown Bulgarian habits - good or bad - YOU decide.

We live in the hostel - it is clean as in our home. No other place is like Nomads Hostel, and the biggest difference is the personal touch, with its good and not so good sides :).

The only hostel in Veliko Tarnovo associated with Eco-NGO's. Once a week we provide our common room for meeting of 'Informal Civil Group - Citizen for Rila'. Present task - action against the brutal destroying of Rila Mountain - Come and join us!!! Give a hand to the Bulgarian wild nature!!!

Don't waist time and start to examine the town with your first steps here - Nomads Hostel is VERY EASY TO FIND:

FROM CENTRAL TRAIN STATION:
WALKING: With the train station behind you, take the left street. The road goes along the river and in 100 meters you will start seeing the old town. Go straight to the Town Art Gallery and the Assenevtzi Monument. Take the bridge on your left-hand side. On your right will be the big white hotel 'Veliko Tarnovo'. Go through the parking of the hotel. Then there is a small street - go right. After 20 meters between the houses there are a few steps. Here you go - you are on the cobblestoned GURKO street. Bear right - in 50 meters you are at the hostel.

BY BUS Take a bus to the post officce. Take the street between the Information Centre and the red brick building. Reaching the cobblestoned GURKO street you have another 50 meters to the hostel.

FROM YUG BUS STATION :
WALKING
Take the street uphill. After 5 minutes walk you will see the Information Centre on your right-hand side. Take the street between the Information Centre and the red brick building. Reaching the cobblestoned GURKO street you have another 50 meters to the hostel.

FROM HOTEL ETARA BUS STATION:

WALKING:
With the hotel behind you, turn right and walk uphill 50 meters. Take the street between the Information Centre and the red brick building. Reaching the cobblestoned GURKO street you have another 50 meters to the hostel.

FROM ZAPAD BUS STATION:

BY BUS : Take the bus N 10 to the post office. Take the street between the Information Centre and the red brick building. Reaching the cobblestoned GURKO street you have another 50 meters to the hostel.


You will see people at the stations, offering accomodation. If you want to be cheated- follow them. If you want to have an unforgettable stay - IGNORE them politely.
