Description   The Hermitage Hearth

The Hermitage Hearth B&B is in ski country Canada only 2hrs drive from Toronto in Bluemountain - 5-10 minutes drive from 3 ski resorts!

Our charming 2500 sq ft log home is nestled in Collingwood on an acre of land just beyond the edge of the Bruce Trail. A 20 minute walk or 10 minute cross country ski will transport you to another time with the ruins of Castle Glen that makes it home on
the shores of a pristine, spring-fed lake.

We are within 10 minutes of all of the ski hills and Intrawest village and invite you to book your ski or naturalist holiday in this self-contained unit with 2 bedrooms.

The apartment is a self contained walk out from the main house with the capacity to sleep up to 4 adults + 2 kids. There is a coffee maker, satellite tv, vcr, full kitchen, fridge, stove and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower with a rainforest shower head. There are two bedrooms – one bedroom has a queen size bed with fireplace and two sliding patio doors and the other bedroom has 2 comfy bunk beds in it.

The unit is rented out as a unit, not separated. In other words, you won’t be sharing the unit or any of the facilities with strangers.

We're also 5 minutes to the scenic caves & cross country skiing, five minutes from the
Lake of Clouds and a 3 minute drive to Ossler Ski Club and 8 minutes to Blue.

The Bruce trail begins just beyond our one acre property line that can lead to a large Springfed lake and Castle ruins.

Several golf courses are within moments and in the winter you will find a beautiful view of Georgian Bay
just beyond the ridge. Scenic caves that makes its home to cross country skiers and gem enthusiasts alike offers the largest suspension bridge in Ontario.

Breakfast is served in the main house.

Check–in time is around 3pm and check-out around 12am.

The prices quoted above also include all the taxes, utensils, bedding, towels, free internet access, free parking, free local calls & free breakfast.

The Hermitage Hearth B&B is 2 hrs from Toronto, 5.5 hrs from Rochester, 3 hrs from Buffalo, 4 hrs from Sudbury,
7 hrs from Cleveland, 10 hrs drive from Albany, N.Y. , 5 hrs from Detroit, 2.5 hrs from Hamilton, 2 hrs from Kitchener,
3 hrs from London and 3.5 hrs from North Bay.

From Toronto: take Hwy 400 North to Hwy 69 then take 637 West to Killarney. It is a 4.5 to 5 hour ride. From Sault Ste. Marie via Hwy 17, 69 South, and 637 West. From Ottawa via Hwy 17 to Sudbury, then travel south on Hwy 69 to the turnoff at Hwy 637. Turn right on Hwy 637 and travel 1 km to Bluemountain.
