Hostal El Refugio

Thanks for your interest in Pucon, and our hostel. As travelers ourselves, we Peter and Lorena (a Dutch/Chilean couple) have designed our hostel with you in mind.

We feel our warm and cozy refuge is the perfect place to rest and recharge after a days activities in the area. Chill out in a hammock under the cherry tree or enjoy a Chilean wine by one of our fireplaces. Our home away from home offers comfortable living areas and outdoor space, and provides the perfect environment for meeting other travelers.

We have a wealth of experience in the area, and as keen hikers, bikers and skiers, we are more than happy to offer information and advice on what there is to do. We are sure you will be as excited as we are about what is on offer here. We can assist with bookings or simply point you in the right direction.

Directions

Our place is right in the heart of Pucon. It is very easy to find at number 540 Calle Palguin. Close to both the Pullman and JAC bus terminals, and only a block and a half from the main road.
If you are coming from Santiago, try to book a Pullman bus (which is cheaper than all the other big companies and is very close).

If you are arriving from Puerto Mont/Puerto Varas, Osorno (Bariloche-Argentina) or Valdivia you can take take a JAC bus. Their terminal is also in the Palguin street and is just half a block from our hostel (walk in the direction of the centre and you can't miss us on the left hand side).

Or when you´re coming from San Martin (Argentina) the most convenient and best bus is the Igi Llaima bus and it arrives in Pucon also just in front of our hostal.
