Why should you stay with Andes? The answer is so simple - 'cause we offer you the best quality stay for the best money value!

Hundreds of backpackers can't be wrong - we were rated the Best in Chile in 2010 and 2011 and the best in Latin America at the 2010 Hoscars!

How did we do that? The experience of our international staff helps us know what is most important to making your stay with us the best ever!

That's why we offer you all that you'd like to ask for - spacious and light four- and six-bed dorms, comfy beds, good mattresses and free clean linen and towels. Need more privacy? We have also private rooms, all with cable TV!

Our delicious, fresh breakfast is served in our spacious dining room, so you won't have to worry any more about finding a place to sit or cook.

Our hostel has the best location in Santiago. We're located in one of the most beautiful and well-known areas of downtown Santiago, the trendy and stylish Bellas Artes neighbourhood. This super-central spot is just two steps from almost all attractions in the city. It's within walking distance of the Bellavista entertainment district and nightlife center, close to the all most important museums and just in front of the Bellas Artes metro station.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are ready to help 24hrs a day. They will share with you the best tips on when and where to go in order to fully explore Santiago, day or night. We speak English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Our facilities include a pool table, fully equipped bar, Wi-Fi, computers, a terrace with fancy sunbathing furniture and a BBQ set, a big LCD flat-screen TV and much more! It's everything you need to get your dose of fun and relaxation.

All during the week we have a great offering of free hostel events. Wednesdays are for free pasta and wine-tasting; Fridays are for karaoke and hot dogs; Saturdays feature our legendary BBQ for only $10USD; and Sundays are for relaxing with the water pipe.

If you're looking for something more private than a hostel, we also offer a number of apartments. Just tick the 'apartments' box in your search here on Hostelworld.com and you'll find our apartment listing.

Directions

From the bus station or the train station, the easiest way to arrive is to take the metro. We're located just outside the Bellas Artes Metro Station (Metro Line 5, the Green Line).

If you come from the airport, there are three possibilities:

1. Take the Centropuerto bus until Las Heroes metro station, and then take the metro (line 1 (red)) until Baquedano and then change to line 5 (green). Get off at Bellas Artes station.

2. Take a shared transfer van. The cost is approximately $12USD (5.500CLP) per person and the name of the company is TransVip. Their desk is situated just after the luggage claim.

3. Take a taxi. Important! Taxis from the airport shouldn't cost more than 15.000 pesos ($30USD). Be careful with dishonest drivers! Don't pay more than that!
