There is no anything more difficult than throw all the things away and try to have a different life style. I had never come back to Dali if I didn’t meet the Xiao Si and his wife who owe Hotel 6. They are really amazing people. I bet you will notice once you meet them. Xiao Si was a navy and had really good future as many people thought. However, he quit without regret. His wife quit her job as well, I think this is the power of love. They traveled to Dali, and then decided to stay. Xiao Si and His wife always chase the life they want, and never care what other people think about, which needs to be extremely brave, especially being a Chinese. They had a shop in Dali that sold all the unique things from India, and they have the Hotel 6.
15 rooms show you 15 feelings. There are many good pictures on the walls of lubby, corridor, and individually rooms. Xiao Si painted all of them by himself. You will probably think that’s not special, but you might think it is really cool, if you know he is an amateur. Xiao Si has made more and more friends, and most of them are the backpackers. Some of them leave the gifts when they check out, some of them leave a picture on a wall when they say goodbye, and some of them leave nothing but a big smile.
Staying in Hotel 6 as if you staying at home, since you can ride a bike free, do laundry free, use computer (wireless, internet) free, watch TV (movies) free, and even can share the dishes when you cook.
Xiao Si is a person who likes to talk to people. His wife is super kind, and she looks so happy when she talks about her husband.
I am a good friend of them, and I was one of travelers who lived in Hotel 6. Many other travelers became their good friends as well. This is not only a youth hostel, but a big warm home. What could be more wonderful than find a hostel like this while you are having a huge bag on? What could be more touching than a bunch of strangers treat you as a family?

Directions

1. Take bus No. 8 in Xia Guan and get off at Guo Zi Yuan (bus will be traveling from East to West) ---Walk south around 200 meters until you get to Ren Min Lu (Road). --- Turn right at Ren Min Lu (Road). --- After turning right walk around 200 meters and you will see the hotel on the right side of the street.

2. Take bus No. 4 in Xia Guan and get off at Ren Min Lu (Road) ---Continue down hill on Ren Min Lu (Road) around 700 meters. --- You will see the hotel is left side of the street.
