Mountain Ventures Hostel

Located at the foot of Leinsters highest peak, Lugnaquilla (925m), Mountain Ventures hostel is the ideal place for adventure off the beaten track in some of the most remote and scenic parts of the Wicklow Mountain range.


Relax in front of our huge open log fire after a great day on the hills and avail of comfortable and cosy dorms. A warm welcome and all the advice you\'ll need from Aaron, a local guide, awaits you at Mountain Ventures!

For evening entertainment why not take a trip down to the Imaal Bar for a pint or two with the locals.
We also provide drying facilities for mountaineers and walkers to make your onward journey more comfortable.

Please Note we are located near Donard in Co. Wicklow. WICKLOW TOWN IS 40 MILES FROM OUR HOSTEL!!

Directions

By Car / Bicycle: From the M50 take the Tallaght exit on the N81 and follow it all the way thru Blessington. On the other side of Blessington after approx 10 mins you will see a pub called the Toll House and signposts for Donard. Take that Left hand turn and continue for 3 km until you reach Donard village. Take the first Left and then an immediate Right and continue on for another 3km until you reach Mountain Ventures which will be on your left hand side.

By Public Transport:
Bus Eireann will drop you to with in 6km of the hostel with the Dublin to Baltinglass route which goes 4 times each direction daily from Busaras. Be sure to tell the driver you want to get out at Annalecky Cross. its is about 5 mins outside of Blessington Town.
The bus numbers are 132 and 5 log on to http://www.buseireann.ie for timetables.

Dublin Bus run from Dublin City Centre the 65 which will take you to Blessington but you still have 12 km to go to the hostel using the directions above.
