Peace of Eden, eco self cater cottages, forest safari tents, backpacker lodge and forest edge camping is a magical place to relax and unwind in a beautiful safe environment, where we let nature do the entertaining.

Try our quaint and cosy Woodcutter Cottage Djeme the rustic bohemian Traveler's Lodge Barn Cabin Swallow's Nest or for real eco nature lovers try our Safari tents on timber decks in the forest with shared eco ablution facilities for those 'green' eco conscious travellers.

We are only 15 minutes from Knysna Town on the pretty country Road that leads to Rheenendal, a small village enroute to the Historical Millwood Forest. Knysna elephants still roam freely in the depths of the mysterious and magical Knysna forests.

We are close to the local beaches, lagoon, mountain bike and hiking trails and only an hour and a half to all the major attractions of the lovely Garden Route which is the safest place in South Africa.

Knysna and Peace of eden is a must see for all travelers, where lakes, wild life, birds, forests and friendly folk will welcome you to ensure you have a wonderful holiday here or if only passing by, we are a perfect stop over enroute to Addo National Park or the Wild Coast.

We are located 520 Km's from Cape Town along the East Coast of Southern Africa, in the Western Cape Province. The nearest airport to us is George which is 40 km's from Knysna a mere 45 minutes drive. We are situated on the west side of Knysna, a town in the heart of the Garden Route surrounded by forest and lakes.
You will find Peace of Eden Forest Traveller's Lodge situated along a forested country road going to Rheenedal, only 6 km's outside of Knysna and only 8km from the N2, which is one of the main national highways.
