Giza, Egypt Horseback Riding

Active Adventure
We offer trailriding tours for every skill level, but in any group the level of activity will be determined by the least capable rider for the sake of safety. Groups are small, one to six persons and there are a number of itineraries to choose from.
Typical Day
Clients can book as a free day in a pre-arranged tour or as a primary activity. Rides begin and end at the farm near the pyramids of Abu Sir in Giza. Nearby accommodation can be arranged with hotels near the Giza Pyramids, at the newly renovated Sakkara Country Club or for budget travelers at the Blue Lotus Guest House near Sakkara

Age range, type of group
Trailrides are suitable for any age range from about ten years old and up depending on the children's height and riding experience. Younger children can ride in our donkey wagon and accompany adults on rides in the countryside. Desert rides are for teenagers and adults only.
Sleeping and meals
There are a number of accommodation options available nearby, from a basic level country guesthouse used by Egyptologists working at Sakkara to a local country club/hotel to five star hotels in the Giza pyramids area about half an hour from here.

Restrictions
This is a working farm in a rural setting and as such has a large animal population, including approximately fifteen dogs, for the most part small, American Rat Terriers. Being comfortable with dogs is important.
Other Information
We advise wearing long comfortable pants and a tshirt that covers the arms to the elbows, partly in consideration for local custom and partly to protect from sun. We provide helmets and have half chaps. Comfortable shoes such as trainers are fine for riding if you don't bring riding boots.
