Description of Surrounding Area

I grew up in Oregon and as many people do, I dreamed of coming to Alaska. Several years ago I just decided to pack up and move to Alaska. I loved Alaska so much I want to share the experience with others.

Well here I am now, living my dream, building a log cabin deep in the woods off the beaten path. I don't hear the sounds of cars and have the view of a lifetime.

We are only minutes away from Cook Inlet where the halibut are abundant and even closer to world renown salmon fishing streams and rivers. The Anchor River, Ninilchik River, and Deep Creek are just a few miles away.

About an hour drive north runs the famous Kenai River where the worlds largest king salmon are caught.

Homer, Alaska - Halibut Capitol of the world, is just twenty-five minutes to the south. Halibut season starts late April to early May and runs through August

If its clam digging you like, there are great opportunities on the nearby beaches.

Deep Creek, just up the road, and Clam Gulch, about twenty-five minutes north are some of the best anywhere. There are closer beaches you can dig as well.

We have a wonderful rustic log cabin style lodge. The lodge has 2 fully furnished bedrooms. Each bedroom will sleep four, a full bathroom with a shower, and a large sunroom over looking the Alaska Range mountains. It is a very serene setting.

As construction proceeds, there will be a new laundry facility, and additional rooms. Tent camping spaces are available - call for special rates.

A nice place to park or camp for the night, week, or.. ? You get the picture!

Description of Accommodations

We have two large furnished bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with shower. Our large sturdy rustic log beds are sure to provide you with a good nights rest. One bedroom will sleep four and the other will sleep six adults. A large sunroom is also available for your enjoyment. From here you will enjoy views of Mt. Iliamna, Mt. Redoubt and, on a very clear day, Mt. Spur. Our sunsets are also world class so be sure to bring your camera.

Also, for your convenience and enjoyment, we have an outdoor cooking and picnic area. Feel free to use this area at any time during your stay.
If you have children (ages 2 to 102) in your party be sure request a free *Smores* kit.

The Bear Den has a queen bed and a bunk bed. This room can accommodate up to 4

The SnowShoe Room has a queen bed and a bunk bed comprised of a queen w/double bed on top. The SnowShoe Room includes a private sunroom. This room can accommodate up to 6

Amenities

Fishermen: A fish cleaning station has been provided for your convenience. If space allows we can also freeze your catch. For larger amounts we recommend one of the local Fish Processors.



Please note that although you were able to drive here in a relatively short time on what are considered good Alaskan roads, this is a remote area. We furnish our own electricity, water and sewer. We have a phone line in the main lodge, and dial-up internet is available should you require it. Cell phone reception is very good here most of the time.



Each room is furnished with a VCR and Satellite TV for your enjoyment.

Restrictions

Smoking is not allowed in the lodge, however you are welcome to do so outside.
