Description of Accommodations

Our guest rooms and suites feature custom-made Shaker style furniture and warm earth tone fabrics, colors and wall coverings. More than 300 works of art, all for sale, by local artists decorate our lobby, public spaces and restaurants. From the open fireplace to the stone fountain, the bright and spacious main entrance offers panoramic views of the spectacular mountain and lake-side setting.

Description of Rooms/Suites

Superior Guest Rooms - Our Superior, spacious 340 square feet guest rooms include coffee makers, hair dryers, a full-size iron and ironing board, individual climate controls, a comfortable seating area, and windows to take in some fresh mountain air or the beautiful views of our lush golf course. Additional room amenities include two telephones, dual telephone lines, a dedicated work area and high speed Internet access, remote-controlled cable television, pay per view movies and Nintendo games.

Deluxe Guest Rooms - Our Deluxe, spacious 350 square feet guest rooms offer picturesque lake and mountain views and include coffee makers, hair dryers, a full-size iron and ironing board, individual climate controls, a comfortable seating area and windows that open to allow for a breath of fresh mountain air. Additional room amenities include two telephones, dual telephone lines, a dedicated work area and high speed Internet access, remote-controlled cable television, pay per view movies and Nintendo games.

Junior Suites - Our Junior Suite guest rooms offer our guests a choice of either a 640 square foot room with a golf-view or a 540 square foot room with a lake view. All Junior Suites have a separate parlor area featuring a sofa and comfortable seating with a 25" inch TV, a separate dining area and an adjoining well appointed bedroom with a queen size bed.

Lakeview Suites - Our Lakeview Suites delight our guests with their own private balcony off a fully furnished living room overlooking a dramatic view of the lake and mountain. Each suite creates an environment of luxury and comfort with a fireplace in the main living room, an oversized bedroom and spacious bathroom equipped with a whirlpool tub and a second full bath conviently located off the living area. Additional amenities include telephones in the living room and bedroom as well as a dedicated work area and high-speed wireless Internet access throughout the suite.

Presidential and Governor Suites - Our Presidential and Governor Suites are oversized and elegantly furnished. The living room includes a fireplace, a dining suite that can seat up to eight guests, a butlers kitchen, a large TV screen, and a half bath. The adjoining bedroom features a king sized bed, a full bath, overstuffed chairs, two telephone lines and a wide array of deluxe amenities.

At Rocky Gap Lodge and Resort, we strive to blend the beneficial aspects of traditional and ancient therapies and offer spa treatments to soothe, relax and rejuvenate. Located off the main lobby, our treatment rooms and certified staff of attendants are here to enhance your resort experience. Amid the lush mountains, serene lakeside setting and rustic lodge accommodations, you can choose which treatments best suit your individual needs.

The Golf...

With a forested mountain setting and a pristine 243-acre lake our Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course will give you a completely new perspective on the wonders of golf. Mr. Nicklaus created an exceptional challenge for golfers of all levels here at Rocky Gap Lodge and Resort, in the center of Rocky Gap State Park. Our par 72, 18 hole championship course provides two distinct golf experiences - the front 9 holes are carved out of a heavily wooded mountainside with dramatic elevation changes. The back 9 holes feature expansive, gently rolling fairways and every hole offers scenic vistas, with Lake Habeeb and Evitt's Mountain serving as natural backdrops.

With 5-tee boxes per hole, and bent grass from tee to green, every player can adjust the challenge of the course to their individual level of play. The exhilarating course presents such a wide variety of shots that even the "Golden Bear" himself, Jack Nicklaus, has not broken par. Book your individual or group tee times at Rocky Gap golf and set your own personal best score.

Rocky Gap golf carts feature ProLink GPS (Global Positioning System) technology. Mounted on every cart, ProLink produces lower scores and all around enjoyment.

Restrictions

The well-being and safety of all of our guests are important to Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort. Since the Surgeon General has determined that smoking is hazardous to your health, and that passive smoke can cause heart disease and lung cancer, the resort instituted a Non-Smoking policy in all areas of the resort, including guest rooms, public areas, lobby entrance and restaurants effective February 1, 2007. The decision of the resort was based on industry research and guest comments.

More than 95% of our guests request a smoke-free room and resort environment. We are committed to providing you with a healthy environment and reduce your exposure to any hazards while at the resort.

Violators of this policy in guest rooms will be subject to a room cleaning charge of $200 to clean the drapery, bedding and walls. Violators in restaurants and public spaces will be asked to go outside by resort staff.

Smoking is permitted outside the resort in designated smoking areas that are located in both the front and back of the resort complex. Please use the smoking receptacles to discard your cigars and cigarettes when finished.

Directions

Located off of Maryland I-68, the Rocky Gap State Park, Lodge and Resort exit #50, approximately two hours from Washington DC, Baltimore, MD and Pittsburgh, PA.

Driving Directions

* From Pittsburgh, PA and areas West
Take I-279 South to I-79 South (Washington, PA) to I-68 East (Morgantown, WV), follow I-68 East for approximately 78 miles. Take the Rocky Gap State Park, Exit 50, make left off the exit, go straight and road leads to hotel (1/4 mile).
* From East Pittsburgh, PA (scenic route)
Take I-76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) east from Pittsburgh to I-70 east. Take SR-281 north and east to US-219 south. Follow US-219 south to I-68. Head east on I-68 until you see the Rocky Gap State Park sign, Exit 50. At the end of the ramp, turn left and follow the signs to the resort.
* From Washington, D.C.
Take 1-270 North approximately 30 miles to 1-70 West. Take 1-70 West approximately 60 miles to 1-68 West, from the start of I-68 West proceed approximately 36 miles to Rocky Gap State Park, Exit 50, Make right off the exit, hotel is visible from road.
* From Baltimore, MD
Take 1-70 West to 1-68 West (Hancock, MD) to Rocky Gap State Park, Exit 50, make right off the exit, hotel is visible from road.
* From Baltimore/Washington International Airport
Take I-195 West. At I-195, Exit 2B, turn off onto ramp. Merge onto SR-295 South [Baltimore Washington Pkwy]. Take exit onto MD-100 West. Take US-29 North [Columbia Pike] towards I-70. Bear RIGHT (North) onto Ramp. Merge onto I-70 West. Take to 1-68 West (Hancock) to Rocky Gap State Park, Exit 50, make right off the exit, hotel is visible from road
