Description of Activity/Tour

Our fully guided, set departures and set itineraries are designed specifically for both summer and winter, and we use different forms of accommodation to suit – camping and Hostels, Farmstays and Lodges. We are not hop-on hop-off, and we are open age from 18 to 'if you can put up your own tent'..... We are adventure with a difference. We give you time to bungy, whitewater or take a helicopter to the top of the glaciers; but you will also be able to relax and sip some of the best New Zealand wine available. We include all the major highlights so you are sure to see the best of, and the real, New Zealand. We travel to the tip of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island with 4 major cities as start points - Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. Ice climb, bungy jump, mountain bike, wine taste, raft, jet boat or just relax on some beautfiul, barely inhabited beaches. We offer the best that New Zealand has to offer in a very unique way.

Age range, type of group

The majority of our passengers are aged 18 - 55, travelling with a partner, by themselves or in a group of friends. They originate from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, North America and Europe, and are in good health and of like minded character. If you are looking for adventure you will go away with great memories and newly formed friendships that will last a lifetime.

Sleeping and meals

We use different forms of accommodation on our tours - Hostels, Farmstays and Camping. This allows us to get the most out of the areas we travel. When camping we provide 2 person dome tents and sleeping mattresses. Three meals a day are provide whilst camping.On the nights we stay in hostels/farmstays the evening meals are not provided.

Restrictions

People under 18 are not permitted on our tours. If you charter the truck, then under 18 passengers are permitted.

Other Information

Transport used: Our purpose built overland truck. Our New Zealand truck is a Scania 93M series and is the only Adventure Overland Vehicle in the country. It is fully enclosed with tinted sliding windows, forward facing seats, heaters, a fridge, a safe and a stereo. It also has a fully stocked kitchen, cooking and camping equipment, two mountain bikes for free use, an onboard library and plenty of room for your luggage. Our Overland trucks are designed for comfort, viewing and getting off the beaten track.
